If I ever have a queue over 2 min I just requeue and get in almost instantly

never done battlegrounds

I'm ok with them, as long as I'm not facing premade groups when I'm solo (or the other way around)

I wish you could pick your game type or something. I'm not a fan of all the game types.

I'm not a dedicated pvper. The only time I've done battlegrounds is when I needed to get a win for that pvp event last year. I didn't have a whole lot of fun with it, and I think it's mostly because unlike in Cyrodiil where you can still accomplish things and have fun even if you only marginally know what you're doing, in battlegrounds it seems to matter a lot more if you're up against people who are more skilled or experienced or coordinated than you are, and that's fairly likely to happen (especially if you're a PUG getting matched up against premade teams). I mean the contest of skill is a large part of what pvp is all about, but as someone who isn't invested enough in pvp to try to be the very best, it doesn't make me want to keep jumping back in to try again.

The Capture the Relic match in particular got real boring at the point when all three teams had a different team's relic, and nobody could score and nobody felt like leaving their little turtle group to go kill somebody else's turtle group for a relic they didn't need.

I did like the one with the transport pads where you had to claim flags for your team. I think that's the one we finally ended up winning.

So I guess tl;dr pve carebear needs to git gud and battlegrounds isn't the place to do it.

I've never tried Battlegrounds, but a big part of the reason for that is I've never enjoyed small scale PvP in any other game, so it seems unlikely I'll enjoy it in this one. About 10-a-side + NPCs is where it starts to get fun for me, basically PvP that's like being one of the units in a MOBA or RTS.

Maybe I'll try it one day when I'm bored with everything else, or curious, but that could be a long time coming.

Could be a lot better though

I used to love them but they've honestly gotten stale. I think most of the good players and pre-mades have kinda given up on them and just moved back to cyrodill. The increase in AP gain from BGs didn't help either, and instead served to only attract bad players in search of easy AP.

I like them a lot. I don't mind not being able to choose game-mode, though I wouldn't mind removing deathmatch from the rotation if I could. I don't find it fun and I would like for the people who queue just to ignore objectives to be segregated off into their own little deathmatch bubble where they won't be pissing me off.

I think the switch to no-CP was positive. I prefer CP in cyrodil where battles are bigger and slower paced. In BGs, everything is smaller and faster, so the lower TTK of no-CP helps keep the pace up.
