The only winning move is not to play.

Unless you can win the fight, why go into the tower in the first place? Either let them come outside to you (they expect the opposite from you so it's only fair) or just walk away. If you have superior skill or numbers, go for it, but if that fight lasts longer than about 60 seconds, cut your losses and find another target.

The tactic is to waste your time or get easy AP by wearing you down.

More than I enjoy hunting a permarolling permacloaking stamblade which also happens to have one of the best killing bursts in the game.

Yeah yeah I know other classes can burst as well but none of them are as disgusting as a stamblade in openworld, perhaps stamwarden but the stamwarden can't atleast shade and cloak away while dodgeing around a tower.

One course of action is to ignore them and move on. They are accomplishing their objective of harassing the enemy and taking away their attention from the main objective.

I play on Shor and know most of the good players that kick my ass and do not follow them into the tower. At the same time; from watching them, if I have some stupid numbers on just me; I will run around the tower. Have gotten a couple kills. Not to farm level as some of these guys but sometimes, help arrives

In my book:

Doing it in 1v1: bad.
Doing it when you´re outnumbered: Fine (it´s not like your enemys wanted to play this fair).
Doing it after being the last survivor of an Xv1: terrible.

Can´t think of any other situation where it would matter in the first place.

Not saying that i like it. But most people that complain about it seem to be doing so without reflecting about the situation properly. Sure it´s not fun for you when someone walks around a tree or stone endlessly - but maybe when he´s fighting 2 other people already it´s also not fun for them when you want to join in as the third sniping away happily?

I just find it boring so I don't do it.

I'm at the kind of wisdom level (age) now where if I find something I simply don't enjoy in a game, then I just don't do it.
Unfortunately it's why I have no gold and no mats and none of the new dungeon loot from the last few updates...
But I gets by.

Stop chasing me, especially if I’m not by any objective. No one player is that important. Kiting around objects is usually just stalling for time or making you work for your kill. I don’t get why people expect you to just let them kill you.

Nope, all 10 of you are going to chase me around this mountain and one or two of you might come with me.

Until they kill you chasing them around the rock. Then it’s them evening the odds until they can line up the ol’ combo.

Using LOS/mobility to survive is no different than using other functions like healing, dodging, shielding and blocking. Evasive builds are as legitimate as any other.

I don't enjoy premeditated rock/tower/bridge routines -- like I won't go to a tower with the intent of doing that -- but I'll definitely use mobility and LOS to survive if I need to, wherever I happen to be.

I haven't played much over the past few months, but when I have it's usually been with a high mobility hit and run build. They're not designed to survive skirmishes or brawls. They're designed to gank someone in a zerg, get out, and repeat. If you chase me, that's on you.

What I do not enjoy is chasing people to the ends of the earth, I don't understand that at all. Or bridge fighting. Reminds me of lemmings.

Not at all but gotta get rid of them somehow. It's alright if you are with some friends but I'm just tempted to leave them and their kiting at the tower and go somewhere else if i'm solo.

I've learned not to chase people like that. I see some Stamden heroic slash me then take off for the tree.....I know what's coming at that point. I like to just stand where I was until they peak around the tree like "where he go" see me just tbagging the ground and cloak off

Most of the time that I can play, I'm with the guild, and every time I see another guild group at a resource they race into the tower like there's someone selling ice cream upstairs. They look so sad standing up their jumping and spamming their abilities when we just walk away.
Sometimes we'll stealth back and wait for them to come storming out to wipe the ungrouped masses that inevitably stack up on the pin, and then we'll deal with them while they try to run back into the tower.

Meh.

I'm usually on characters that either a) can't catch em, or b) can't kill them if they catch them.

So I just stop and watch them run. If they wanna fight, they'll come fight. If they don't, they can hump that rock/pillar/tower to their heart's desire.

Wasting time and tilting players can be a perfectly valid tactic. If I'm in a BG and I lead 3 people from an enemy team on a wild goose chase, that means they aren't playing the objective while they chase me, for example.

Fair enough, but a good portion of the time I see players wasting peoples time while their alliance is losing ground. They should be with the rest of their alliance defending their objectives.
