Ordinator shields in Mournhold. I haven't seen this shield anywhere. It's not Dunmer, it's not Militant Ordinator, it's not Ashlander.

I think you're overreacting. It's not a full motif, it's just the shields. The armor itself was available as a costume earlier, and it hardly cost anything, I bought it. The shields have been in game since launch, since this is one of the zones that has always been there, so I kind of doubt they will release a shield motif from launch for 5k Crowns.Harrdarrzarr wrote: »

Ok masters weapons are unobtainable tier 5 motifs (with rubidite using tier 4) so the shield is tier 5 dunmer then. They may release the motif soon as tier 5 daggers was on briefly in the pts0 -

But this is not without precedent. The Master's Lightning Staff, for example, uses a style that the game's style API identifies as Altmer, but it's obviously not craftable. The style of that staff had existed in the game prior to vDSA's release, and you could even acquire a staff with that appearance in-game (in Greenshade, near the wayshrine by the west-northwestern town taken over by Sea Vipers, there is a tree hollow with a staff that you can pick up with that style). When vDSA was released, they looked through their assets of cool-looking styles that weren't used in crafting or in dropped sets and then used those styles for the weapons. Most of which are, as another poster suggested, a "tier 5" appearance.
For example, the Master's Resto is identified by the API as Breton, the Inferno as Dunmer, the Greatsword as Redguard (it is virtually a copy of a tier 4 Redguard with a few tiny tweaks), the Bow as Bosmer (again, just a few minor differences from a tier 4 Bosmer), etc.Nightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

Interesting. So what you're really saying is that ZOS is being lazy, so when they created a new shield and needed a custom look for it, they just went ahead and grabbed the Ordinator one, since that wasn't being used by anything else, instead of hiring someone from the arts department to come up with a new look.
It'll save some time and bucks, but it's going to cause headache later on I'm sure. They've already gone ahead and streamlined most of the other motifs that weren't obeying the general rules, so we have less oddities, but then they go ahead and introduce even more oddities with the Master weapons. Oh well.0
