I can definitely do that. I will try and have it on here tomorrow! Really busy these day now renovating my house...Plus cutting down a big tree in my yard today lol. One thing I can say now is Nirn main hand and infused off hand. Dual wield on wolf bar.

Curious as to why Salvation is needed since you completed this in one transformation. Is the 5pc not just mostly wasted?

Salvation adds weapon damage when in werewolf form in addition to the reduced cost. It makes you feel more in tune with the ultimate, like werewolf is your true form instead of something you become. If that makes sense at all. Are there better sets? Sure! But in all content we do, he can build his ultimate in 1 minute and wreck everything faster than the rest of us! Plus, whenever a werewolf goes down in PvP or in a dungeon, he is capable of getting out of werewolf to rez, since werewolves can’t rez anyone, and get his ultimate back quickly. Like I said, he’s more in tune with the ultimate with the Salvation set.

@eXnihilO This is a question often asked. Yes you are capable of attaining better overall dps with other sets, however I keep coming back to this one. In vMA you don't always get a one transformation run, especially when you are just gettin the hang of it. Human form always is gimped on a good wolf build. You gotta hybrid it out. Salvation works wonders in dlc dungeons where player death can be often, and group wiping. Werewolf is worthless if you can't get the group up. And like crazy said, PVP....Especially now with the perma wolf gone.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks! Believe it or not I think being a professional guitar player and teacher helped. My brain kinda turns off during difficult or stressful situations like playing solos or complicated progressions....Other wise I mess up lol. I felt I was quite chill and relaxed in my run due to this.

This thread inspired me to run VMA as a Werewolf and gain my first flawless title within about two weeks, thanks! :)

I took #15 on the weekly leaderboard for my class (DK) as well!

I'm still not sold on the Salvation set in general, but I do have it and like it.

    Video for anyone interested: https://youtu.be/xjYawcoDNog

I was 'on tilt' so I didn't even have my Werewolf charged up when I started and I didn't show the build or stats in the video like I normally do, sorry. Those are here: https://imgur.com/a/5TfCU

    Gear is:
5x Pelinal's Aptitude (Makes your self heal a full heal)
2x Mighty Chudan (Allows capped resistances while in form and allows for 5 medium armor and a light piece, for min/max)
3x Vengeance of the Leech (Jewelry w/Weapon Damage enchants... Vicious Ophidian, eat your heart out.)
2x Daggers (gold!), main hand Nirnhoned offhand Infused w/weapon power enchantment (Ideally would be a 2pc set granting weapon damage like Morag Tong, Leki's, or Shacklebreaker), but I ran a crit bonus because I didn't feel like I needed the edge enough to gold two daggers I don't use outside of the arena.)

My gear was all Impenetrable due to borrowing from my PvP build... haha

You don't count as a pet yourself, however the set works with the Pack Leader morph. Combined with VO your sustain is a cheese fest xD

Hey guys, I've been struggling to complete VMA on my stamblade running Vicious Ophidian, Hundings Rage, and Selene (no VO weapons, no Maelstrom Bow). Plenty of damage and sustain, but I feel too squishy, so I'm thinking about going Wolf!

What do you think about 1 Chuden, 1 Pirate Skeleton; 5 VO; 5 Shacklebreaker? Also, I noticed that @eXnihilO used Vengeance Leach. Do you think that's better than VO for a wolf?

Another thought is that I could go 2 Kena, 5 Brass, 5 Bone Pirate.

@Aztlan The trick with VMA isnt always the damage its some of the mechanics that you HAVE TO DO there is no way of avoiding it.

I typically run VMA with my stamplar at 3k weapon damage 2k regen and 20k-22k hp so i dont get insta gibbed.

Yes, I know the mechanics more or less, because I have gotten to Stage 9 on my Magsorc, but that character is relatively new, with no Undaunted, so I'm trying to do it on my main, the stamblade.

Vengeance Leech is basically the same principle as VO, just with total emphasis on sustain. VO has the added benefit of giving you increased damage and movement. Both helps tons in vMA. I didn't use either and focused more on being tanky with great burst.

For monster sets to cap resistance I highly recommend just going for Mighty Chudan. Werewolf benefit s since you can't get either Major Buffs in form. Shackle Breaker is awesome for the heals and overall DPS.

If you have trouble with the timer get Salvation. The ultimate will only cost 201 then. Or you can run any stam set. Hulking, Bone Pirate, Blooddrinker Etc. Werewolf is often looked at as being a sub par ultimate, but I got a flawless vMA run after only 3 attempts at the title and about 5-6 total runs. Who can say that on most builds?

Vengeance Leech is amazing for VMA, especially for a werewolf, the sustain for both magic and stamina is that of dreams, the heal on top of it is just icing on the cake. The build that @Ertthewolf has listed is great for those looking to take on VMA for the first time, and can help you learn the arena as it is very forgiving to any mistakes that you might make.

As time goes on you can swap out sets, sacrificing survivability for more damage and faster runs.

    Happy Hunting!

I've been away on vacation, haven't tested this last patch on PTS.

But my toon on PTS had gotten a 2k buff to stamina return on a heavy attack. With the way off balance works now my wolf was bringing in 12.5k stamina on an off balance heavy attack.

I have yet to see if they extended the duration of the off balance buff for werewolves as they said they extended it for all sources of off balance.

Overall if the change makes it to live it will be a welcome change for werewolf sustain.

@Aztlan I think the fact that so many builds are viable on Werewolf for VMA is great actually, but I don't think I'd ever leave my Chudan+Vengeance Leech at home personally (think of it in terms of a 5pc set, GOODNESS!) There's definitely some room to swap Pelinal's for something in my build, but those heals make a large portion of the arena straight up easy mode and the extra HP and sustain is just great. Damage is not an issue whatsoever, especially if you take sigils on the bosses... I was over 6,600 weapon damage buffed with my bastardized janky setup, haha

When I put my setup together I wanted a set for tankiness, a set for sustain, and then a damage set, but I realized I could just gold out weapons, enchant jewelry, and literally just didn't need a specific damage set. I ended up in 5 medium, which boosted damage by 12% so that can't be underestimated for sure. Just farm Chudan, it's worth it for a lot of builds. :)

If you can test drive any of the builds you mentioned without a hefty investment, go for it. You can certainly CLEAR VMA with any of those you suggested, but flawless does take a bit more overall... build synergy, I guess. :) Fare well!
