Curious as to why Salvation is needed since you completed this in one transformation. Is the 5pc not just mostly wasted?

This thread inspired me to run VMA as a Werewolf and gain my first flawless title within about two weeks, thanks!
I took #15 on the weekly leaderboard for my class (DK) as well!
I'm still not sold on the Salvation set in general, but I do have it and like it.
Video for anyone interested:https://youtu.be/xjYawcoDNog
I was 'on tilt' so I didn't even have my Werewolf charged up when I started and I didn't show the build or stats in the video like I normally do, sorry. Those are here: https://imgur.com/a/5TfCU
Gear is:
5x Pelinal's Aptitude (Makes your self heal a full heal)
2x Mighty Chudan (Allows capped resistances while in form and allows for 5 medium armor and a light piece, for min/max)
3x Vengeance of the Leech (Jewelry w/Weapon Damage enchants... Vicious Ophidian, eat your heart out.)
2x Daggers (gold!), main hand Nirnhoned offhand Infused w/weapon power enchantment (Ideally would be a 2pc set granting weapon damage like Morag Tong, Leki's, or Shacklebreaker), but I ran a crit bonus because I didn't feel like I needed the edge enough to gold two daggers I don't use outside of the arena.)
My gear was all Impenetrable due to borrowing from my PvP build... haha

I noticed on your last drop you got a piece from The Hunt set. Do you count as your own pet in that circumstance?
Seriously impressive.
Hey guys, I've been struggling to complete VMA on my stamblade running Vicious Ophidian, Hundings Rage, and Selene (no VO weapons, no Maelstrom Bow). Plenty of damage and sustain, but I feel too squishy, so I'm thinking about going Wolf!
What do you think about 1 Chuden, 1 Pirate Skeleton; 5 VO; 5 Shacklebreaker? Also, I noticed that @eXnihilO used Vengeance Leach. Do you think that's better than VO for a wolf?
Another thought is that I could go 2 Kena, 5 Brass, 5 Bone Pirate.

Vengeance Leech is basically the same principle as VO, just with total emphasis on sustain. VO has the added benefit of giving you increased damage and movement. Both helps tons in vMA. I didn't use either and focused more on being tanky with great burst.
For monster sets to cap resistance I highly recommend just going for Mighty Chudan. Werewolf benefit s since you can't get either Major Buffs in form. Shackle Breaker is awesome for the heals and overall DPS.
If you have trouble with the timer get Salvation. The ultimate will only cost 201 then. Or you can run any stam set. Hulking, Bone Pirate, Blooddrinker Etc. Werewolf is often looked at as being a sub par ultimate, but I got a flawless vMA run after only 3 attempts at the title and about 5-6 total runs. Who can say that on most builds?
