I totally Agree with your point. Some costumes are only viable for males and some are just for females. If Zenimax wouldn't be lazy and actually put some effort into these costumes they would make alot more money. Personally I know a couple friends who did not purchase this costume because it is for females.

Would love to see some changes to the gender exclusive costumes.

Which ones do you think are only viable for males? I can't think of any.

Personally I don't have a problem with female only clothing. I don't have to buy everything. The point has been made elsewhere though that it's a problem with crown crates. If you have only male characters and don't want to wear dresses, all of those costumes are totally dud prizes.

Funny thing is Skyrim had separate models of the same outfit for each gender, so the fact that this isn't the case in ESO for Costumes that aren't unisex is kinda, hm..

I'm not trying to please or offend anyone or cause outrage. I'm not attempting to be PC and cry for equality. I am a woman, I have both male and female characters. I just happen to like the way this looks. YES, my MALE Argonian wears Makeup. I don't see how it's any different from Tattoos and War Paint. lol

I think it works well for these costumes in particular Because they are Culturally Argonian. They are covered in scales so I'm not even sure that counts as nudity... they don't even have nips. LOL and don't they spend a lot of time in a sweaty swamp, wading through water all day? An excess of sopping wet clothes would only slow them down... It just looks like a swimsuit to me. And the south American Myan/Aztec Chieftan/Priest/Shaman Influence is already a prominent theme in Argonain Cultural motif.

Notice the Neck Ring Collar.

I begged since i play for at least one topless male costume... and to be fair, we got the Dark Shaman costume. It has ugly metal arm pieces that need to go, but well... its probably the closest we ever get to your suggestion. But i would be happy if im going to be wrong. I still want something like this.

I've more or less given up on the Male version at this point But, is the Female [Lizardly Four-Fabric Skirt set] leg clipping ever going to be fixed!? I understand it is not central to Active Gameplay but, Some people have already spent money on this costume, trusting it would be fixed and I want it but, refuse to buy it until it IS Fixed. How can you put defective items up FOR SALE, promise it will be fixed, then never actually do anything about it!?

Anyone!?

I'm absolutely all for people having more options to play with.

...but incidentally I actually like how he looks with the top better in these pics. I think maybe the necklaces are too distracting and noisy without the additional fabric, dunno.

Some players like to dress their "male" toons in "female" clothing, BUT I would really appreciate male/female oriented options. I really wanted the Four Color without top for Eye Candy (not his real name).

Seems to be some mixed reviews... I just wanted to bring attention to the Male intended [Ever Damp Reed-Fiber Kilt] and how it adds the extra cloth when worn by female characters.

I don't have a Female Argonian and have not purchased the costume to give better representation, sorry...

There is a general avoidance of any kind of clothing that even approaches "sexy" or "attractive" for male characters.
If it's billowy and shapeless, you can bet it's been designed for males. And if it reveals skin at all, it was probably designed for females.

Why the devs and art teams have *such* a profound and obvious aversion to any kind of male style options eludes me.
I really just wish they'd expand our options. Make costumes modular, at least the ones that might support it, let us mix and match with motifs and outfit styles, let us hide any armor piece we like, not just heads, etc.
And for the love of Azura, give male characters some real options and variety for showing skin without it looking awkward or poorly conceived, or poorly fit.
I can supply a whole portfolio of inspiration, please just let me know and I will idea board the heck out of it for free!
Apologies, I find myself quite irked by this all of late.
I wholeheartedly agree with the OP though. Proper male versions of those outfits would be pretty awesome.

It often bothers me that revealing clothing is mostly a thing for female characters in ESO, or MMO's in general. It doesn't even end at revealing clothes. Compare the number of facial hair there is to make-up, or dresses compared to more adventuring clothes.
I want to dress up my male characters aswell, ZoS. Not just the female ones.

I'd love to have something like the Egg-Sister Bias-Cut Casual Wear for males. My male argonian wants some nice casual wear too, that is easy to swim in!

You do understand that the artists have to work on these costumes so that they fit BOTH male and female models and they arent just lazily copy pasted right?

Plenty of people pushed for cross dressing in this game. Now if you want some male options that are similar to the female outfits, thats one thing. And should be pushed for. But many players are just fine with the current setup.

I'm pretty sure they just wanted to give people the option to cross dress. I don't see this ever being "fixed" because they probably don't see it as being broken.

Cross dressing is fine too for those that want to ofcourse,but it would be nice if they would make male versions anyway.
To show off the many nice Tattoos ingame too.Now there are not much options to let the body prints that are available shine

Thanks for the input everybody! Glad to see this catching some attention a year later lol. I highly doubt it will happen at this point but maybe they will make male adjacent costumes in the future.
