Drop the price of Glass motif resin

Now when glass motif fragments are going away, how about putting the resin on sale, e.g. 5k? I have large amounts of those fragments and no incentive to make pages with resin because the page prices have fallen so low. Also that price would align better with the full book from Rolis.

I'm not sure why the resin costs as much as it does. It should have been reduced a long time ago.

Totally agreed. I have a few hundred fragments and absolutely no reason to turn them into pages due to resin cost.

Agreed, at this point you might make even by using the 10k resin. But often you'll be selling at a loss.

Agreed.

Until the resin cost is dropped, there is little to no benefit to making the motif pages once you have learned them. Count me as another player who is just letting the fragments pile up in their bank.

I could maybe understand keeping the resin cost the same...IF you could choose which piece it would make of the motif. Just a thought

Well, thanks for that info - time to go search for the last few I need instead of overspending for the whole book. If the master writ vendor has the book but not the individual pages.

Well, thanks for that info - time to go search for the last few I need instead of overspending for the whole book. If the master writ vendor has the book but not the individual pages.

If they drop the price of the resin, the price of the motif pages would also drop. If you're getting 9k right now, you'll be getting 4k if they drop it to 5k for the resin. Sure, you can pick up your pages cheaper overall, which is good for players, but you won't be making huge gold selling these for more than a day before people catch on.

Yea its hard to justify spending 10k to make a page that might sell for 5k although I do have some success selling them for 11-12k which really is just getting my money back for the resin. No reward for the work it took to get the fragments and definitely not worth the gold to turn those frags into an actual page.

I'm not sure that's true. They used to sell for more than the cost of the resin…before people got a bunch for free in the jesters festival boxes. That made the prices plummet, and they never climbed back up above resin cost.

You buy the Merethic Restorative Resin from NPC vendors, and use that. There's one in Craglorn right accross from the bag seller.

The problem is alignment with the writ voucher price.

180 vouchers for the single motif book. This places the per-chapter value (12-13 vouchers) below 10K at current market prices. Plus, no need to fuss with fragments and no need to fuss with the chapter RNG. So the voucher route would be easier, more straightforward, and cheaper. If the resin price was lowered, the voucher route would still be easier and more straightforward, and people who want to fuss with the resin RNG would at least get price as compensation.
