I think the idea is supply and demand. Buy the designs when they first come out, and they cost more, but fewer people will have them so you can sell the resulting furniture for more. And when they've been switched out after six months more people will have gotten them by then.

Well, that seems a crap decision to me, as one of the perks of Rolis discontinuing a design is, its value went up after it was gone from his stocks...now, the value will go down, considerably.

ok, so hopped into pts, to test. they are not bop and they do not require achievement to learn. however, the achievement they require to buy is nothing to sneeze at. you have to have turned in 100 master writs to be able to buy them from a new vendor. I think.. that's fair exchange for slightly reduced voucher cost.
To be honest, this is more about ZoS, and their consistent INCONSISTENCY,
