I'm curious to exactly why there are no child NPCs. Nearly every other MMORPG I've played has children. There is only one quest that I know of that has a child, but he is a wraith. No living children anywhere.

I don't like children even in single player games They are last thing we need in ESO - there are already lot of annoying unkillable NPCs

However, I liked my adopted khajiiti and argonian children in Skyrim. If we can adopt kids (should be some NPC vendor which lets us "buy" a dummy which we then can customize using character creator (select name, race, gender and appearance), and place those children at our houses only (no kids in open world), it would be great. Of course it would require adding some AI to them so they could wander the house and interact with environment, use different emotes... This would mean we also want to have other NPCs in our houses like guards, servants, pets and mounts walking around... I forced one of Dawnguard dogs to stay at my home cause kids wanted a pet and dog was nice guard too - it was buggy and was stuck inside walls most of time, but still

it has been my long-standing objection that people will do messed up *** even to unkillable child NPCs
have seen underwear-clad Orc characters aggressively grinding against the rear-end of horse NPCs
would perma-quit if people started pantomiming abuse towards child npcs

Not sure about you guys, but I'd rather not arrive at a wayshrine to see a load of players killing NPC kids. Its a little weird that there are no kids, but at the same time; it's fine without them.

The LOTRO devs explained it as an art creation problem. Children require different body "models" than adults.

Exception: They had hobbit children, because the hobbits were already so childlike that no difference was necessary.

I don't recall any pervert problems in LOTRO, but it wasn't that kind of community anyway. E.g., there was a notable absence of cleavage-displaying clothing/armor options.

I am sure that is a thing, but after watching the Technical side of how they set up the rigging, models, and animation, the constraints that they had, and the tooling support they had to write to make it all work, I think adding children would have caused the early demise of the people who had to set all that up.

although I find it eerie that there are cradles with no babies in them, I'm okay with not knowing the story behind that and I'm more than okay with not having to maneuver around children.

Kids add a lot to my immersion, I'd love to see them added someday but not just human ones like in Skyrim. Other MMO's have them, I see no reason for ESO not to have them too.

Make them unkillable like merchants if you're afraid of murders. Some players are doing weird stuff even without kids in Tamriel, not adding children did not prevent that from happening anyway. Besides there is an empty cradle in the bedroom of the Daggerfall castle desperatly waiting for a baby.

It may seem futile for some players like being able to sit on chairs around the world, but I wanted it too and I was very happy when I was finally able to do it.

So they can be Blade of Woe'd --- No thanks. haha

Comprehend that my position is somewhat unique
in that experiences of childhood trauma and resulting psychological issues
are not a typical occurrence for most individuals

but while it is distasteful to see players molesting horses
or teabagging other players
or stripping naked and doing pushups on corpses
there is a line that would be crossed for it to be happening to children, even simply digital npcs
and do not have confidence in ZOS to deal out any sort of punishment for doing so
