AOEs shouldn't disappear when something inside it dies
One example Thunderous Rage, the ranged morph of the Destruction Staff ultimate. When you put it down on top of a group of enemies it ends the AOE when the enemies inside it die.
This becomes a problem in situations where enemies enter or spawn after the first ones have died. It's very noticeable for those daedric rifts that spawn 2 waves of enemies...

The duration is 9 seconds, but it stops way before that. (btw the smaller bolt of lightning that stays around is the Illambris proc)
