I submitted a ticket, but I crafted some items, switched characters to help a friend, came back and it's not recognizing the item in my inventory as the requested item AFTER GOLDING IT!!
Of course I'm on my 3rd day of 0 acknowledgement from the support ticket, but that's just to make the situation more fun with it clogging my quest journal and the aggravation of the situation of feeling like I wasted mats on a item I'll never use and the writ won't recognize.
I'd wait on doing anything but alchemy, enchanting, or provisioning writs since those don't seem to fail so far.

✭✭✭✭✭Seeing as how after hundreds of writs--and many dozens of gold-quality-item writs--I've never run into anything like this, Occam's Razor would suggest that this is a matter of player error.- Does it match the item exactly? Part, style, trait, correct level of CP150, etc.?
- Did you accidentally equip the item? If it's bound, it's ineligible.

So I double checked, before, during and after crafting it. Then seeing as how you can't check the motif after, I compared icons, matches as well. I moved it into the bank, moved it onto another character, etc.

I'm in the same boat as you, I do this all the time and have miscrafted before. I once locked items for a regular writ, because I had to clear inventory to make room for the other items I needed to craft. I didn't want to sell my crafted stuff by accident. xD But when I went to turn in my writs I found it wouldn't let me turn in the items I locked and they would not register as crafted for the writ either. Unlocking them solved it. c:0 -

Then comparing the link and same item seleceted on crafting table may reveal some differences. The item on table is naturally white, but are there any other differences?

Reorx_Holybeard✭✭✭✭✭I just tested a few things with a master writ to see if I could duplicate/confirm where the problem lies:- Logout = Still works
- Locked Item = Doesn't Work with Item Locked
- Lock and Unlock Item = Still works
- Transfer to Another Character and Back = Works
- Enchant Item = Still works
- Bind Item = Doesn't Work
So the only thing I can guess is that it is a non-reproducible bug, or perhaps one just related to your master writ, or you made an item with the wrong style (are you sure it completed the writ quest initially...I've made that same mistake several times). Unfortunately on consoles I don't think you are able to find/see the raw item link text...at least I can't find any way to do it.Reorx Holybeard -- NA/PC

- style: Is the style Dwemer in the quest? The dagger looks like dwemer.

I don't think you will get help via a support ticket. They will just feed you the generic trouble-shooting steps that are in the binder that they tell everyone to follow. My advice would be to move on and try to make the item again or don't complete the writ. I'm skeptical that anything will be done to help you because since other people above couldn't reproduce the bug it's a small chance that ZoS will be able to reproduce it and it doesn't seem like they take action on bugs that they can't replicate on their internal server.0 -
