Pvp earns wayyyyy more transmute crystals than doing pve

    I do dungeons and pledges and I pvp. I think the balance is just about right for the transmute crystals. I can run pledges/dungeons with my guild in about the same amount of time that it takes me to get 20k ap. Pledges plus the first random of the day gets me at least 4 crystals which is the number I usually get from the RftW geode.

    If you only farm crystals in a pug, you're doing it wrong.

    Are you seriously complaining that pvp has it better in one aspect of the game. I despise PvE, but have to spend hours and hours grinding undaunted and then after that even more grinding for gear. You know, PvP players also use bop gear.
    Lets not even start on how neglected PvP has been by ZoS. So pls take your buthurt somewhere else

    I believe its a simple incentive for people to come to Cyrodiil to play. Personally I think a lvl1 reward might be a bit early for 50 gems. Maybe for lvl2? As someone who does both pvp and pve I can confirm that I am swimming in crystals and already started to use them on simple gear that isn't weapons or monster helmets/shoulders.
    This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

    I don't PvP but needed crystals so i went in, found a group and had the crystals I needed in a night. Not that big of a deal to me, it's better than farming for days/weeks/months for a trait. I also met some decent ppl in PvP so who knows, I might just go back!

    I don't get this imbalance either. PVP players now don't have to touch PVE at all for their transmute crystal supply, and they would be wiser not to because its nearly a waste of time by comparison. Also people are doing PVP on one character and stocking up rewards of the worthy emails and then opening those mails on characters who have nothing to do with PVP so that they can get the first daily bonus each time, which seems awfully exploity and ZOS has said and done nothing about it so I can only assume they don't care. (or they are surprisingly oblivious.. but they can't be THAT oblivious.. I hope)

    Then whenever someone brings up this balance the PVP crowd comes and throws it in the face of PVE players telling them nothing is stopping them from doing PVP. Except for the whole intense burning hatred of constant zerging, lagging, load screens, hacks/expoits, macro-slicing, teabagging idiots who reside there.

    PVE needs to have a better reward quantity or PVP needs to be brought in line with the rest of the game, its as simple as that.

    since when is teabagging a crime?

    You do realise this thread is full of whiny pvers complaining like spoilt brats? This game is incredibly unbalanced with regards to earning gold and equipment while pvping.

    I’m pretty sure they want to increase PvE transmute crystal gain, not nerf PvP gain. It is pretty bad rn tbh for PvE.

    OP kind of exaggerated the time it takes and made it sound like geodes always drop 20 crystals instead of the usual 4 or 5.

    In PVE your loot is pretty much guaranteed. PVP not so much. You have to actually go to action, be where action is, to get AP. Getting 4 crystals for every 20k AP earned is fair.

    Geodes don't drop in every reward of the worthy either. What we do have is a guaranteed geode with 50 at the end of a thirty day campaign on each character we get to tier 1. PvE needs some equivalent to that if they don't have it.

    edit: Seems it is possible to get by reaching tier 1 (100k AP).

    It's a good thing, actually. It encourages players to PvP for things they need in PvE, just like PvPers are encouraged to PvE for things they need in PvP.

    Weekly coffers from doing trials, they even drop on normal. Shouldn't really be a need though, if you run content that warrants a trait change you should have plenty. If the hardest content you do is vet dungeons then you can by just fine with off-meta traits.

    This is so annoying, and I'm sick of hearing it. Dude, I don't care if the "hardest content" I do is my freakin' DPS Dummy, I STILL want my build to be as strong as possible.

    3 dailys that take 45 min lets say total you will earn up to 12 MAX. Thats 4 in each pledge return which i have never gotten so thats being nice.

    If i pvp for 45 min - 1 hr i will make over 20 easy. What gives? Most pvp players can buy the gear they need from traders and ap usage. Its the pve players that need more of changing traits imo.

    Is there ever gonna be a balance between two or will it stay @zos? It doesn bother me that much just sucks knowing im getting less doing pve.

    Its honestly a BIG difference in how many you can earn in pve/pvp i wonder if this is intended

    You understand that if they do make changes it will be to nerf the PvP side of things. Not buff PvE

    You would make a minimum of 80 crystals a month...if you did the7 day campaign for 3 weeks and then the 30 day campaign for the final week...not to mention the insane amounts of RoTW, where you can get up to 25 crystals per coffer...

    I actually like it that PVP is a better farm...it "forces" me to go into PVP, where I invariably have a pretty good time...

    Yeah, I think a slight buff to the pledge crystal drops would be fine. Makes those drop a bit higher. But other than that, I think the incentive for PvP is actually really nice. There's tons of pvers I know who wouldn't pvp otherwise who go in regularly now to play for some rewards. It's a good thing.

    Frankly I think both sides of the argument needs to grow up a bit. Too much whining from the PvE side and too much baiting from the PvP side. Grow up you lot.

    PvEers: there needs to be more incentives to go into PvP. This is coming from someone who detests PvP in this game. A slightly higher crystal drop is a decent incentive for people to try it and see if they like it. So please stop kicking your feet and having a whinge whenever PvP gets something nice.

    PvPers: People aren’t scared little carebears if they don’t like PvP, it’s not a ‘men vs boys’ thing. People are allowed to have different preferences. All your doing is trying to bait the PvE crowd, it’s cowardly and cringy. So please pull your heads in a bit.
