Very disappointed

Same quest as last year ... Same recipe ... Same hat ...
Ok they added some " light furnitures " and 3 new memento ... If at least they could add some decoration in main town ... a Christmas tree in each town or snow ... but they decided to copy past the one from last year ...

Now be ready for the next event... they will probably add the fireworks memento and some kind of " furnitures " but won't add anything other.

And next year ? Probably the same event with different " furnitures " and a hat slightly different from the last year, like the Witch festival masks.

decorations in main towns would be VERY fun. eso does lack themes.

i mean theres a halloween hut/tree house hidden in vvardenfell but its not seasonal. its just *there*

but if they can pop tents at every event, they can pop some town/center themed decors also. Id say in all 3 starting cities and all 3 capitals at LEAST. And maybe end zone cities cz thats where most peop hang out (well PC NA has rawlka as main trade hub and belkarth not far behind)

but at least capitals as a starting point....

I hope these bad festival ( new-life and witch ) mean that they are focusing on the next DLC or chapter. But maybe they are focusing on the Crown store ? Or they just don't care ,we can't know unfortunaly.

Not "bad" at all.

And it's funny.. comes new DLC/chapter.whatever... first people complain that it's not what they wanted, then that something isn't working, then they finished and there's no new DLC (again).. it's just an endless vicious circle on and on and on and on

...and in meantime everyone b*****s about crown store, crown crates, lagging, weather....... blah blah..

i would have been *** easy for them to have thrown in new hats, new recipes and costumes or a new motif and costume. as far as im concerned- the lack of inventiveness is plain laziness. or even to have added a title for thsoe that had done it consecutive years, rewarding the loyal players.

Fine. I spent weeks grinding this festival last year. New Life was my favorite festival, but still, I'm thrilled to learn I don't feel any need to grind it again this year.

This year, if I feel like doing it, I will. Maybe I'll get some cool lighting units. Maybe I'll just enjoy belching on other players. Either way, glad to do something mostly just for fun.

There are lights and new mementos if you feel like you need some near-unattainable goal to enjoy something. Personally, I wish more players would be happy about this. People complaining are just encouraging ZOS to give us even more Player vs. Low-Drop-Rate-RNG. Jeez. There's waaaaaaaaay more than enough of that garbage already.

Everyone wants to complain about the events being exactly the same, but if ZoS changes up the event where all daily quests gave pretty nice rewards such as all motif chapters, style material, etc. to give something like new cosmetic mementos or furnishings then you'd be all up in arms.

Everyone wants something different until they get something new and that greener grass is growing out of a big pile of guar poo.

Enjoy the 100% xp bonus, level some alts, or go farm raw mats or treasure chests while everyone else is sitting in SE Shadowfen catching fish. Which ZoS, by the way, should be commended for only requiring one of each fish this year instead of three, and vastly increasing the number of fishing spots for that quest.

After getting over initial disappointment with repeats during Witchmother festival, i was ready for New Life. i hadn't stocked up on recipes for my guild nearly as much with this one, and it is more fun with things other than boss grinds to do... However- Witchmother at least gave us stuff we DIDNT have before. not without crowns at least. My only real complaint with this year's new life festival, is not only are these lights ones we already have....but ones that have been out since homestead launch. i have a dozen copies of each blue print for the lights I've been getting in guild bank. Huge let down there ZOS. If we are getting mostly repeats...why not at least make the housing stuff 'new' or all DLC drops, or SOMETHING better than Dark Elf Lamp Post.

I’d be happier if they sent a gamemaster to betnikh on console (xbox na). Suddenly it’s back to a large group of sorcs an pets all doing same thing at the same time.. magic!.. (the wolf meat area).

I agree it’s a lame event. The lights an stuff don’t seem too spectacular. Slow grindin it on my alts simply to fill their achievements. It could have been just a double xp week an i would have likely had more fun.

Although IMO it is like the Witches Festival for me, not a whole lot new as I completed it last year, I still welcome it for the extra XP to be received on my neglected characters. Could be worse considering other events where it over taxed the system or there were game breaking bugs.

Not only do I like things like reward boxes, I also have people in the guild that are newer or have way less characters than I do, so all spare items are going to be given out to them if they need things. Also going to try to run through the achievements on more characters. And i will have tons of time! Kid free weekend, and then a few days later off work for 2 weeks for winter break with the children. Of course the XP bonus will be helpful for my couple of baby characters. Pretty sure I can get them all to 50 before the end of the event.
