This is that I hope for to. That would also give non red weapons. What I was hoping for from a transmog system was the ability to use lower level armor as costumes. In most cases, the low level armor is much nicer looking than the higher level. For example - low level imperial medium is perfect, top level - not so much. Low level Nord heavy has chain mail and is a flattering cut, higher level is the bulky plate that is not attractive on my females. And let's not forget low level Bosmer armor...
Yes that is another issue with an costume system, its unlikely to work on weapons, no issue not to have style change on weapons.

There doesn't seem to be many with a transmute station at their house (which is understandable considering the cost). I don't know one. Sure, i could spam chat to eventually find one who allows me to use his station everytime i want to transmute something, but I'd rather not bother at all.
Maybe i'll buy one if i manage to accumulate enough gold, but it is still a lot of hassle for those who don't want to buy the DLC or aren't lucky enough to have someone with a station among their guilds or friends.
If a feature is supposed to be part of the base game, it should be equally accessible for all imo. If it isn't, i consider it partially locked behind paywall (either ingame or real money).

I don't want to wear fake costumes into battle, even if they look like real armor. What I do want is to wear my real armor that has been modified to a different motif!

Mark my words.
Oh stop. They’ve actually been pretty decent with the base game update stuff. If anything, the feature will be “enhanced” through ESO+. The crown crates are the only sore spot in this game where they really go after the players’ wallets.

I don't speak Russian.
