That is:
- You got 400k enlighted XP (one day's worth of 100k x the 4x multiplier) and
- you had 12.5k of your quest turn in after you rolled over to 50 (thus taking off 50k of your enlightened XP)
You sure your pals didn't already have a vet character they simply haven't played after rolling over to 50 the first time? As in, they hit 50 and just stopped?
I ask this, as the only way they'd have 4.7 Million available enlightened XP was if they had 12 days' worth previous stacked.
- Again, you get 100k per day up to 12 days for a 1.2 million total
- This equates to 4.8 million enlightened XP total.
You, by design, actually got the correct amount. I've a hunch your first 'Level 50' buddies may not be as first-level-50 as they claim.
The good news is, you'll all only get the normal amount each day after, and low CP's come quickly. So while it may seem like they're miles ahead, it won't be as drastic as you imagine.

When you get to CP for the first time you are supposed to be given enough enlightenment to get to around CP 90 or so. You are not supposed to only get 400k when you hit level 50 for the first time. I was power-leveling a friend who just got the game last week and he hit 50 for the first time and had 4 mil of enlightened XP just like OP's friend did.

Yea, Person A and I have accounts from back in beta. So I guess the bug might hit me, and not him.

So if you login for the first time and level to 50 quickly, your enlightenment time accrued is very small.
You are supposed to get 4M enlightment. It's a catch up system that was introduced a while ago.
@arnthegreat21 from https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/222867/champion-system-catch-up-mechanic/p1 but the underlying information still applies.arnthegreat21 wrote: »Interesting - I can't find an official post for the CatchUp mechanic in what it does.
However, since the Humble event bringing it around for $12, I have met at least 40 people who dinged 50 after buying the game.
All of them received the same 4.5-4.8M exp (The amount varies based no if they dinged with a quest turn in and it used a bunch).
We all also have gotten 100K Enlightenment (400K Exp) every day on the reset timer. I do'nt think there is some super secret mechanic that people are 'qualifying' for. I think it's a bug that I didn't get it.
For instance, I also dinged 50 at 11:30AM. My 'daily reset' is at 5:45PM, every day - INCLUDING the day I dinged. So obviously there is an issue with my character, period.

There have been several requests on the forums for an explanation of exactly how the Champion System Catch-up mechanic we’re introducing with the Orsinium patch works. We’re here to offer some details about how the system works on the PTS, and hopefully answer some of your questions. Please note: This thread is not to discuss the pros/cons of the system, but rather to pass on some information about how the system currently works to help you with testing, and assist us in spotting any inconsistencies or errors.
With the new system, the formula used to calculate the amount of XP needed to gain a single Champion Point is as follows:
((TotalPoints / (Cap ^ 0.95)) + 0.08) * 400000, where Total Points is how many CP points you’ve earned.
If you exceed the cap, the XP required is calculated given the above formula, and then tripled. (So, the XP you would need to earn 512 Champion Points is 589,807, which is then tripled to 1,769,421.)
For the first Champion Point (going from 0 Champion Points to 1 Champion Point) 1XP is required.
We only triple the point values if you are over the current Champion Point cap—once we raise the cap, the values will return to normal.
The new catch-up mechanic, currently on PTS, is subject to change based on player feedback and data. We’ll be iterating on it as needed on the PTS—we’ll do our best to update this post if and when that happens.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
I equally can't find anything that indicates you're supposed to receive 12 days worth of enlightenment when it has not been possible for you to have been enlightened the 11 days prior.Jayman1000 wrote: »When I dinged 50 (my first and only lvl 50 character) I too got several million enlightened xp. 350K sounds way too little. 400K is the usual incremental enlightenment that you get (per day I think) but the first time should be in the millions. I think you should open a ticket and ask support to check it for you?

Same thing just happened to me. Played when the game first came out. Got a Dragonknight to level 42 before stopping. Playing with my girlfriend this time around she is a new player but played in the beta when it came out.
We started playing again during the free steam weekend and decided to buy the new expansion. We leveled up to 50 together and when she got 50 she got 4million+ enlightenment and i got 400k... mine ran out and she is still power leveling past me at 10x the speed so now we are no longer the same level.
I opened a support ticket to ask what was going on and got 4 really lame cut and paste responses back on how enlightenment works. I don't think they even read the support ticket. Worst support i've ever experienced in an MMO.
