Making the birds dodgeable would be an pvp only nerf.It's hard to justify buffing a class that dominates Cyrodiil. However it's hard to nerf something that preforms so poorly in PvE

✭✭I'd like to see them change beetles to cut down on how obnoxious they are in PVP.
My current suggestion would be, Deal 60% of the current damage up front, and the same again over 5 seconds.
You give the skill a 20% overall damage buff to help them out in PVE, along with making beetles fit better in a rotation, and at the same time you nerf the skills up front burst by 40%, and create a net damage loss if you are simply spamming it every 3 seconds.Lord and Savior of the Association of Serious S***posters.

No it doesn't. The majority of the player base is in PvE. PvP in this game also doesn't have a competitive scene, meaning balance isn't a priority.
This discussion is irrelevant though as both modes can be balanced simultaneously. Wardens are OP in PvP because of their burst damage. Burst damage is useless in PvE, where they are UP due to their lack of DoTs (which are useless in PvP). The reason balance in PvE comes second is you always should only be running whatever class is BiS in PvE. From what I gather Warden is never BiS, so you just don't use it in PvE if you're concerned with optimization. Roll a stam dk
In PvP a lot of people use Warden, the class was clearly made with PvP in mind, and since there is more variety in PvP and it takes more skill, balance matters more there.
In PvE one class will always be best at the different roles, so there will always be people crying that the other classes are underperforming, when really they just shouldn't be using those classes. Just like if Warden was now BiS for dps hypothetically, people would be crying magplar is underperforming or some such. Balance matters a lot more in PvP where BiS is a lot less defined and there are infinitely more playstyles.Edited by Betsararie on October 28, 2017 2:34AM1 -

✭Seriously. Every class goes through several changes a year. Warden may have been the golden child for a minute, but I have no doubt they will up the changes as time goes on. Just like the rest of the classes. Can't sell the new class hype if you start messing with it on day one. And the rest of us can't get too comfortable with "what works" or we have nothing to chase (gear for the new thing that is best to do for example). Warden burst is so easy to see and avoid. SA alone won t kill you ( if it hits you with more than 6k dmg you need to think about your buil ). Curse is far more powerful. The only thing that could deserve an ajustement is the tankiness of some MagWarden ( SnB/frost staff with shimmering and harness shields+ dmg with permafrost ).
Wardens have a good group utility, wich is a good thing in pvp but templars are still more powerful for the healer role.
Just look at the number of wardens in cyro or BG, then look at the number of them who are playing stam, and those who aren t a tank but a true DD : less than 5 in pc eu.
So, no stamden isn t OP. Magwarden are a bit powerful but this is again a shields issue

Its true, pvp balance does matter more. When was the last tme you had a static boss complain about player x being 5 % weaker or stronger than the other players? They dont. In pvp though that 5% is very very noticeable.4
