Addon help - could someone pls tell me which addons is spamming the chat like this?? it is annoying and I want to turn it off, but I have no idea how.

My chat window is full of this spam messages that I really do not care about and I do not know how to turn it off. Most of all, it spams so much ,that the actual chat messages get lost between it.

    That is too much information! I have one that tells me when friends login and such. What add ons do you have that may be associated with guild and/or people stuff? I'm wondering if settings can just be adjusted...

    The Online/Offline is from people on your friend's list. That is not from an Addon. Unless these people are not on your friends list.

    As for CP one, what evil addon developer would have come up with that? A lot of people will gain several CP an hour depending on what level they are and what they are doing. That would be madness.

    So, if they are your friends, the No Thank You addon can suppress those messages. For the CP ones, best you can do is disable the first half of your addons and see if it goes away, then try the second half. From there, once you find the half that makes it happen, narrow it down from there.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    and which addon are you using which tells you when your friends are online?

    and for sure it can be adjusted, as this appeared only after this CWC update, so maybe some bug or some addon setting reset or I don`t know

    Documents / The elder scrolls online / live --> then delete the document called " AddOns" ... too much thing in your screen.

    It might help to provide a list of addons - I know which addons it WOULDN'T be, but not sure which one it could be without knowing what you have.

    Damn that would be annoying lol

    Looks like it is shissu guild tool or associated addons. Try to disable everything guild related and you will find it.

    well, I am using like maybe 160+ addons :smiley:

    I will turn them all of and then turn them off by 20 or so......

    That's probably Guild Notifier or Shissu's Guild Tools. I personally use Shissu's, but I turn 90% of the alerts off.

    no it is not :), I am not using that addon and the text is slightly different from the addon you mention

    in my screenshot is "....@.... IS NOW offline"

    and in the addon screenshot is "...... - online"


    so it is not that

    Check your own screen shot - you have both online and offline messages for the guilds you are in. But anyway, you are right, it is up to you to figure this out. Good luck man.

    oops, I have written it wrong, I meant that the wording is different in my screenshot and in the screenshot of that addon you mean, so it is not that. and I am not using that addon.

    weird, I turned all addons off and then turned them all back on in packs of 10 and now all are back on and it is fixed......must have been some weird addon bug.....

    Was going to say same exact thing wen I saw his pic.

    I would turn addons off one by one until u find the culprit.

    I thought i had a lot of addons at 20 :(

    Well mate if you ever have problems again i think it could be addons not playing nice with each other too :wink: good call on turning them off and playing elimination game glad its sorted.

    yep, I thought that I have like about 40, but then I realized yesterday that I have around 160 :smiley: , slowly slowly one by one, they become 160 :smiley:

    yes I know that some might colide, but I had almost no issues so far, there were some buggy ones, I sorted that out. but this is something new. I am not sure what it was, but I turned all off and then back on and it is solved, some weird bug probably :)
