The idea of zerging became meaningless to me when I was accused of zerging with 3 people. 2 of them healers, one of them in the keep firing ranged.

My husband was once told to go kill himself, because…. he used an ability zos developed and gave to every character to use in a pvp zone which resulted in the death of another character…? Wow, how dare he?

Given some of the other things I’ve heard now, this seems fairly tame. He’s also been whispered once by a player not to use block during one particular fight ... apparently that’s a “no no” in pvp? Maybe blocking isn't valid? This one was just more funny than hateful.

Let’s see, oh, another good one.. “enjoy the tick”, because the player obviously wanted my husband to know he was deliberately letting himself die… so.. he really must have cared what my husband thought of him and wanted to make sure he made himself look good? Sorry to whoever that was, he really didn’t care and didn't even stick around for a tick anyway..but, it's nice that you cared so much about what he thought of you?

What I find only slightly amusing, but just more pathetic, is when someone has a “spot of tea” over you.. especially when you have never “tbagged” this person yourself.

I’ve seen my husband do his best and do what he can to help his faction. He can be either in a group or solo, but he still doesn’t shy away from a fight, regardless of how outnumbered he might be. So, recently, he ended up fighting a certain group on his own and did his best to just stand and fight, not flee when other AD were dead or running away ... at the end, he was tbagged by practically every member in that group… He’s never done anything to any of them.. never tbags, (unless he’s been tbagged by that person, and even then most of the time he just won’t retaliate against them. Even when he has the perfect opportunity to do his “deep knee bend exercises” over their face as well)

I still watch him play sometimes and see him get tbagged by players .. I’m like “what’s their problem?” No clue… maybe it’s just the way I was raised.. but, I don’t understand the whole thing..

Recently, I was attempting to rez another player and was just run over by this same group I referred to above. Surprisingly, I wasn’t tbagged that I know of .. but, they leave and lo and behold, a blue crawls out from behind a rock, proceeds to "do his thing"
over my corpse and quickly retreats to the safety of "his rock".. I can only guess I killed him earlier right before this encounter with red and he was upset. So, he waited to get his "revenge" by tbagging me after those red did the job for him?

I also had someone tbag me because apparently, I had asked him why, if he didn't like AD, (he just trolls our zone chat), then why play AD? Instead of being negative in zone chat, maybe just don't say anything? No need to be negative.. you don't have to say anything positive.. but, why, if you hate it so much, even play on AD? Figured that was a valid question. That's pretty much about it.. and he said I'm "telling him how to live his life" lol ok... so, he creates an EP toon and pounces on my face the first chance he gets..to "show me" .. I don't know.. I inspired him to play another faction I suppose.. ok, great, ty.. your zone chat trolling won't be missed... I'll take credit for that I guess.

I was talking with my husband the other night and he asked me, "What happened to the days when we were young and playing sports? Our parents and coaches showed us how to be respectful to the other team. After a game, you all walked out onto the field and shook each other’s hands."

Sure, you both wanted to win, you both gave it your best, you fought hard.. but at the end of the day, it was a game. You didn’t try to "rub it in their faces." Literally, or figuratively. At least, that’s how some of us were brought up.

My only guess is this may stem from a lack of self confidence and insecurity and may be the result of these players being bullied themselves. So, instead of trying to make things better, they become the bully.. albeit online.. but, it seems to give them the gratification they apparently need.

Some players are actually fairly good at pushing buttons and they soak up the adoration they may get from other players in this fantasy world.. they go around calling players "trash" and whatever other insults they can try and muster and spew out.. they may win in a video game.. but, they just fail at life..

We are all on the same planet, breathing the same air, just trying to get by with whatever life throws at us.. good times; health, new jobs, marriages, children.. and bad times; sickness, layoffs, divorce, miscarriages .. why make that path any more difficult or degrading for people by being disrespectful and nasty?

I still can't believe some of the lengths players will go to, especially in hate tells.. even death threats?
That they're glad someone in their family died?! How does a fantasy online game evoke such ridiculous and mindless actions?

Anyway, I’m sure there are lots of “witty” answers out there ... and yes, it’s just a game but, wouldn't it be nice to play a game and actually have fair and honorable pvp?

Honestly, ask yourself, is this the kind of feeling you want to leave other people with, especially those who may be going through those "bad" times? Is it really something that lifts you up so much to try and put others down…? If so, please consider doing the world a favor ... don’t pass along your genes.. the world doesn't need more egotistical and disrespectful people in it.

I got a nice ragewhisper last week when I was at the ash milegate. EP was trying deaperately to defend ash, so I decided to get some solo kills on the way to nikel. Killed the same guy twice. After that he whispered me: "You *** loser ***! There is a million DC in ash and you find it necesary to gank at the mile gate? *** useless *** player". So I responded with "yup", but found out he already put me on ignore. Such heroes these people...

During the Imperial City event I got a pretty good one from a guy my hurricane pulled out of stealth while he was AFK. Dude must've had a pile of stones on him, because I got 4k from the kill.

It went something like "*** *** hacking ***** cheater"

I had a pretty good laugh at it.
