It's funny how the same people who complain about the game being too easy are the same ones complaining that the elite gear is too hard to get because of the RNG, etc ..., whatever. ESO is intended to be a "theme park" mmo, meaning, even casual players can enjoy it. If you want a challenge, solo vet group dungeons in white, no set, no enchanted gear. If you can do that then fine, I'll say the game is too easy. It offers something for everyone, and challenges for those who want to pursue them. Nerfing Dosia was a calculated action in order to make the game more appealing. This was explicitly explained years ago! Complain all you want, but ZOS is laughing all the way to the bank!

How did a week go by before I noticed this thread where I can brag about how long I've been around?? I vote poll creator is noob.

The game is completely different now. Doshia is fine for the newer new players. There are so many better things to worry about these days.

    @Slurg

Is it different in a way that makes it better though? I propose that it's now far to easy.

I would propose that it's better now, because more people stick around to play. It was too hard before and discouraged players to continue playing. AS WAS EXPLICITLY EXPLAINED BY MATT FIROR OVER TWO YEARS AGO!

Here's an idea, why don't you start your own company and make a competing MMO taylored to how difficult you think it should be? Maybe you'll be even more successful.

Please ZOS make all main storyline bosses a challenge.
It’s simple imo how this works.

Players are either forced to L2P early on in a fun way by defeating important bosses in difficult battles and/or through tutorials, or they can get to endgame with quite literally zero experience and then get kicked from a hundred groups+yelled at countless times to “get gud” before learning (assuming they don’t quit).

That’s how I see it at least. If you join Vet Falkreath Hold because it was in Skyrim and then spam bow light attacks on your Dragonknight super Dovahkiin Skyrim build, people will kick you. In fact, you’ll get kicked every single time unless you get grouped with great players in easier dungeons.

....also do not tell me they can just do Normal Dungeons - people who actually play that way join my group via group finder 4/5 times in Veteran dungeons, and significantly less in Normal dungeons. These types of players increased dramatically in group finder with Morrowind and Vet dungeons remain the only place for them to get their monster helms. These players (rightly) feel accomplished at the game after completing the main storyline and questing their way into like CP100 or so. You defeated Molag Bal himself, took tons of keeps for your alliance with your army, and have done so many quests in game - a Vet dungeon should be easy, right? Sure, sure it will. If you are carried which will rarely happen.

The whole experience for a player starting ESO just seems horrible imo. You are actually tought that playing ESO like Skyrim is the correct way to progress. Ofc it’s okay to play like that if you want, but the game should make it clear that if you want to do any group content, there are lots of game mechanics you still need to learn and you have to build for it. In the end, no one is happy because it all leads to failing group finder groups and wasted time which no one wants to be a part of. This stuff is all directly related to how the game teaches you to play it. This is the only game I have played where there is a tremendous amount of *important* info you have to know which is only discoverable online.

You answered it better than I would have so I'm quoting that!

I will add that I like some of the new players better and I'm glad they came.

Oh yes Doshia was insane... it took my 1 hour the first time. Tried different types of pots, skills and finally... bring her down.

    Damn that was a work....

Atm maybe the only challenge is the werewolf-worldboss in... oh I forgot the region (eastmarch?).

But with that Doshia-challenge you learned it the hard way, that the arms of a soul harvester hurts a lot, so don't stand in (or interrupt fast) and that these balls, which are flying to her...must....be...stopped. Things like that fight reminds you to take care of special things.

Doshia was a problem because she really didn't suit my style of play - first-person view, toe-to-toe (you don't realize the significance of the health spheres when you can't see them), slug it out and see who's left standing :)

So I did what I always do in Elder Scrolls games - when banging my head against a wall gets too painful with no progress, just go off and explore, do some other minor quests, see the world and kill things.

Then come back when you're feeling stronger and slug it out again... :)

In case you haven't figured it out yet, the ZOS forum mods don't punish people for belittling and demeaning behavior. They punish people for fulfilling their obligation as a human beings and calling out this behavior when they see it. Consistently.

I'd imagine because some have a sense of humour and can see the issue with lack of challenge, rather than choosing to take offense to everything.

Has anyone noticed how easy the normal content is, there are no real challenges to force players into getting Good.
So we now have players devoid of any ability, trying to do content that is far beyond their capabilities because through no fault of their own they have never been challenged into doing anything other than spamming a couple of skills.
Once upon a time we had a Boss called Doshia who was a challenge, as there were mechanics involved in defeating her, sadly because it was challenging she was nerfed into the ground.

chose this option because well, the poll is biased and condescending unless you agree with your clearly biased opinion.

Doshia was a canary for where this game was headed in terms of not requiring any skill and nerfing the game for casuals.

We should have seen the writing on the wall back then.

Not really I gave you this option to choose, however you choose not explain your position.
