You can't force small scale PvP outside of battlegrounds.

Depending on the response to this poll, I plan to organise players from three faction to compete in an empty server, purely small scale (Solo to max of 6).
Just asking for all your opinions before I proceed.

It won't work. One side will get beat, and come back with a group of 7. Then the other will return with 9, and so on.

My plan was:
- You can ask anyone who tags along for AP ticks to leave.
- On failing to do so, you can try to lose them.
- On failing to do that too, you can signal an enemy player/group to come and fight them. If they are here just for leeching AP/zerging, they are bound to die. Enemy doesn't need not kill you. You need not kill them while they are doing so. (Thus, I mentioned organising it cross-faction)
This will happen in a 7-Day campaign. The population is very low. I have fought players there. If we could get some 20 players in each alliance willing to engage, it might work. Do you think this will be possible? Might be tough to keep up during a siege?
And when that 24+ man griefer zerg decides to run over your play style? We've all seen huge groups ( 50 +) not care one bit about the campaign or score. As soon as some of those guild hear about what you want to set up, they will line up just to grief it.
After seeing two players in the below 50 battle ground taking on about 40 of us and killing us over and over it's doubtful I will pvp much anymore past getting caltrops unlocked. 2 v 40 just smells of BS.

I like small scale but it's when ur small group of 4-6 people run into 4-6 people not prepared to fight or set up to fight each other. This makes it a fair fight of fun builds. If you give people the chance to build up for this ur going to have tanks and healers and negates with roots and bombs. IMO this is not fun.
Firstly, since when are 6-8 people "small scale"? That's medium scale if you are good enough because you can wipe enemy zergs and play for the campaign (while small scalers are either stealth/tower gankers, or tanks, or most likely both).
The thing is: who will I fight against if larger groups aren't there? Basically everyone there will be mist forming into the shield ulti and shield ultiing into the mist form.
However, I would be very much in favor of a server which reduces the maximum group size to 8 or 12.
I think we (one of the small blue raids on Sotha you mentionned) would participate on a No-CP Server once a week under certain rules (max 8, no mist form etc) Since Taonnor also liked the idea, you might actually succeed. But many more would be needed to make the map interesting enough, otherwise the premade groups (or guilds with 2 groups) would dominate too much.
