October Crown Store Showcase is out

... and its kinda disappointing again. Most of everything is just ripped from last year, dunno what I was expecting honestly. But the new hats are cool.
Summary
-The Nightmare Daemon Mask and Dibella's Doll Mask bundles are sick but it looks like we're getting 3 masks:
One for each beast race and one for the human/mers. I don't know how that's gonna work. If this is the start of making us pay extra by selling costumes/hats in packs of 3 because some races can't use some other races pieces, then I don't know when the moneygrabbing is gonna stop. Or, I could be overthinking it and it could just be variations on the hats like the Jesters' Hat bundle, but I don't know why they'd specify that there are options for specific races.
-You have the classic polymorphs, Scarecrow Spectre, Werewolf Lord, Pumpkin Spectre.
-New zombie personality.
-Shadowghost Mounts... as if we don't have enough reskin mounts yet. I'm sure some people will buy them anyway.
-Grim Harlequin is back.
-Zombie Horse mount, that's cool. Pretty sure that was last year too.
-Witches' Cottage looks like its coming a week late. Don't you need the Sun's Dusk Reaper title to buy that? Why not release that when the Witches' Festival starts? Unless its starting the 19th.
-Cat and Owl mask are back.
-Deep Elf Executioner. Its pretty much just the Dwemeri Tonal Attenuator but without the cool looking helmet. Guess some people will just want an executioner's mask, I guess.
-Moonshadow Wings Mask. That's dope yo.

As much as I agree with the OP's position, I will be getting the Shadowghost Senche mount. Collecting Senche mounts for my Khajiit characters is one of my few crown store addictions.

I personally am happy that the polymorphs are back, because I missed them last year. That will not happen again! New stuff is good (and there's enough of it, imho), but Old Favorites are part of Halloween tradition.

I love. love, love ALL the masks. I suppose the Shadowghost mounts could have been a teeny bit more spookifying than they are, but they still look nice and with two new characters (plus three more who have adopted Secret Identities) I am definitely in the market for mounts. Re-skins are fine -- because they strike me as Halloween Masks that my pets can wear.

Also the masks are nice, and prob we only get one, but it looks different on every race, like the other masks
Also nice that they brought back the previous two masks, I was said last year when I missed them

Was hoping for that leaked witchhunter(?) horse mount. Looked awesome. Still waiting for the Coldharbour house, too, before getting a home.

Disappointing? Not to me.
They have twice the items this month to make up for the fact that some of them are repeats from last year, and everything is awesome.

I'm pretty much collecting wolves and horses, just because I love them so much. I don't think I'm going to get the senche, though, but the Shadowghost horses and the wolf will be mine.

The shadowghost mounts are really neat, though. If I hadn't gotten the skeletal guar, I'd be all over the shadowghost guar. I still might be, idk.

And I think this is a pretty heavy month for new content:
House
3 mask packs and a mask
mount cycle
personality
pet (pets? Can't tell if that daedrat is new or not).

And on top of that, they are doing what people are constantly asking for and bringing back old time-limited stuff. Seems like a great month to me.

Yes, lots of stuff, but NONE of it is a permanent addition to the CS. They removed items a couple months ago (any many others in previous months), only to add a skin and two emotes last month. Now, while there is quite a bit this month, it's all LIMITED TIME.

I also think it's great that they bring back items. I hope they do that for the other holiday themed items, too. At least it'll lessen the sting for newer players, who miss out on the limited time items unless they go into a gamble crate and they're willing to gamble for it, as well as the items they remove from the CS to put in to the crates.

Some of the stuff looks cool, but I'm not really into the holiday, so I'll probably just let everything pass. Don't need any more mounts, and I stopped collecting senche once they introduced the crates. We'll see, it may be that I'll purchase the shadowghost senche, but probably not. I'm trying to save my crowns for the Orbservatory Prior (assuming it'll be CS exclusive) and I didn't buy enough crowns during the sale.

Lots of new stuff? Great! All limited time? Boo! I know a lot of people are excited for this month's offerings, and ZOS has been counting on it to drain everyone of the crowns they bought during the sale.

Shadowghost senche, wolf, horse, the matching pets, the masks... Yep, more than I wanted to spend. However being as the items aren't in the clown crates, I'll buy the shinies I want.

Although I think I have Rahjin's, already from last year. If it is the same, then its a true miracle that it didn't end up in the clown crates as a "returning old item".

I'm really happy with what's coming this month.

I love the Shadowghost mounts. I'm seriously tempted by all 4, which never normally happens. I'm not going to make a final decision until I can preview them in-game and see how much they cost but I'm sure I'll get at least one and maybe all 4.

I'm tempted by the house too. (Which by the way you can preview now - it's just south of the Hag Fen Wayshrine.) A small or medium house in Glenumbra was my original plan when housing was announced - until I found out the only option was the tiny square one in Daggerfall. This one has very little inside space but lots of outside space for the price (it's 250,000g according to the preview) and could be perfect for one of my characters.

The deciding factor for me will be how many of the existing objects (trees and rocks in particular) can be moved or removed as I'd want to do quite a bit of decorating.

I might also get the owl mask, which I missed last year.

Why do we have complaints that Zenimax are repeating themselves? I mean heaven forbid people get a chance to get something they missed out on last time. Either just starting now or not being able to get it last time.

I am SO excited for the shadowghost pony pet! And the Dibella mask! Last year I started playing just before the Witch's Festival, so I didn't fully understand the ins and outs of the crown store yet. I didn't know that most of the stuff was on sale just for the festival. When I went back and tried to buy the grim harlequin motif for another character and found it was gone, I was crushed. Now I get a 'do over'.

I think most of these items look lovely.

This one is ready to buy some masks, polymorph and a house.

The detail and atmosphere of this game is what keeps drawing me back, and spent those crowns.

I bought all the polymorphs from the years before when they was available the first time around so I don't need them I was hoping they would of came out with a new polymorph that hadn't been sold yet in the crown store

The repetitiveness of this showcase has some unintended consequences for me. I bought the holiday items from the crown store last year, at least in part because I believed there wouldn't be another opportunity. I was a subscriber then, and not concerned with rationing my crowns.

Now that I dropped my sub and only buy crowns on sale, the holiday items might have forced me to make tough decisions. But now that I know the items will repeat, I'm not concerned. There's no sense of urgency. When I see holiday stuff I like in the store in the future, I'll be more likely to shrug it off, thinking that I'll buy it next year if I still care.

I haven't bought it last year and made a mistake of buying Werewolf Lord instead... But today I've found a video of Pumpkin in action - the voice of this polymorph is pure awesomeness!

Items are nice, but will probably be overpriced. Also that everything is avalaible for very limited time seems bad to me. Last month was very weak (weakest in my oppinion), and due to what i´ve already written, this one I won´t like. Crown store´s going to hell for me.
