Seeing how low the odds are of getting these mounts with no way to redeem them for gems (not even 800 gems or a higher amount like that) those who spent a lot on crates this season will not do so again in the future.

ZOS may enjoy a short term profit from people trying to get this mount, but once people realize the odds are impossibly low, they will be turned away from future crates.

I am at ~1,200 gems and nothing I want to redeem them on (I wanted the Plague Husk too). ZOS may win this round, but no more crates in the future for me.

So your out, i was always out - but many will take our place when these threads get locked/deleted/forgotten. There are many who dont even realise there was hidden mounts until they bought crates, gambled and looked to redeem the gems

i think less people are buying this time,only saw 2-3 of the special mounts and some of the apex ones
maybe if sales drop more,zos will decide to change drop rates so ppl wil buy again
till then,i personally stay away or buy a very small amount compared to other seasons
300 euros and not a single mount for 3rd season is to much for me and i wont participate in the future

Whales (people with large disposable incomes) aren't idiots. I certainly won't be participating in many, many seasons to come and I have enough gems to buy whatever "pity prizes" appeal to me that they put in the pool. My sub is paid up till like 2019? So the only cash they're getting from me over the next 18 months will be for another chapter. It's just not worth investing in crates without some kinda of gatcha mechanism that many of the half-decent loot schemes in online games have. (Spend X amount and apex happens, for example.)

Once the new gambling legislations trickle over from China and kick in, we'll see a massive about face and mea culpa from ZoS and pretty much any other online company. We're a few years from (more) honest gambling, though, so let the suits rub their hands together and stockpile while they can.

Last night I bought a single crown crate since I only had 500 crowns. I got a bonus reward and it happened to be the Plague Horse..

Exciting.. but I still kinda want the bear skeleton mount.

My buddy got 30 crates, got 2 scrolls and a costume. He then got 15 more and got 2 more scrolls. That's it. 45 crates, 5 legendaries. At least he got out with close to 500 gems putting him at like 900 or something.

ZOS knows new people will not have the risk aversion

15 crates later I got the skull mask, the tiger mask looking one, the shadow senche pet, skeleton senche, crow momento, the shepgrath tapestry, a few green costumes, a couple facial tattoos, and the plague horse. I'd say not to shabby. I bought some crowns when they were on sale. I usually just save the crowns I get from ESO plus and get 15 crates beginning of each season. No more no less. I feel RNG was good to me this time.

Leaked mounts from next season look like junk to me. Motifs and the like will (probably) stay in the gem reward pool. All I ever wanted for mounts was, believe it or not, a flaming wolf and a non-horse/bear/camel/guar proper ice mount (that other horse is hideous). Got both of those, and, combined with the expense of what it took to attain them, I'm not buying another crown till 2019.
