Of course they'll add it to the crown store. Whatever they may have said is irrelevant.

Remember when they said they'd never abandon the subscription model?

Or when Gina famously posted on Reddit that they would never add locked RNG boxes?

The PR department will say what it has to say in the moment. But as long as it's a feature players are willing to pay for, and as long as the question of it being P2W is comfortably nebulous, it will inevitably end up in the crown store.

Again, absolutely zero reasons supporting the comment. Zos has never added anything to the crown store that altered the effectiveness of gear.

Lots of baseless salt in this thread.

"Altered the effectiveness of gear" ... it's only you who has narrowed in on this, but you're still wrong.

That lovely vMA staff you saved up the crystals to morph to the trait you wanted has run out of charge. Oh dear, and you have no soul gems! Don't worry, buy some from the Crown Store and alter the effectiveness immediately!

    For your convenience!

Don't worry, I don't expect you to understand. Your inability to grasp why selling glass motifs in the Crown Store has trashed the market in something that was given as a reward for doing writs clearly demonstrates your mental limitations.

The world must be a confusing place for you. No wonder you're so angry.

    Sad :(

@I_killed_Vivec LMAO. Good try. Soul gems do not alter the effect of gear. Even though soul gems to not alter the affect of a vMA staff, soon they will have zero affect on the special vMA set bonus anyhow. They will soon only charge normal enchantments,

They are also absurdly cheap and easy to get in game. Good try though.

My comment still stands unchallenged, by anything of merit, that Zos has never sold anything in the crown store that alters the effect of gear.

Edit: I will leave you guys alone to talk about this meritless conspiracy theory. Starting to get bored with the recycled attempts.

Your comment is meaningless. It's a shame you simply cannot understand.

ZoS never, ever, ever sold anything that would affect experience gain... until they did.

They promised the only items sold in the Crown Store would be cosmetic... until they started selling all kinds of things "for your advantage convenience".

ZoS promised that all DLC would be available forever for free for subscribers... until they introduced "chapters".

ZoS promised that they were never, ever, ever drop their subscription model, that the game would never go free to play... until it did.

ZoS have a track history of breaking promises. And they haven't even said they won't sell crystals for cash!

So why, apart from "they haven't done yet" do you believe they won't, when they have broken so many other promises in the past (and over arguably much more important matters)?
    IT'S NOT FREE-TO-PLAY ITS BUY-TO-PLAY.

My mistake! The point still holds. They said the subscription model was the way ahead and they would never go buy-to-play (though it's almost free given how little the base game can be bought for). That promise didn't last long.

Maybe they shouldn't have made such a promise int he first place. Maybe that's why they now say the have "no plans" to do things...

Would of been nice if they did offer them via the crown store. However, I don't think that is going to happen. Many players have made comments and requested that the crystals stay out of the crown store because it would be P2W. I have to disagree.

P2W applies only when a item that would give a player an advantage is not available in game and can only be acquired by buying it via the crown store.

The crystals do not fall in that category since a player can also get them by farming veteran trials and delves. Offering the crystals via the crown store would of given those players sick and tired of having to do the same content over and over again (farming) another way to get the crystals.

    Um, this is P2W.

They added trait research scrolls to the crown store - trait research is a precursor to changing traits. So it's already in the crown store. But keep sipping the Kool-Aid. Going to enjoy tagging you when this does hit the crown store.

Short answer is DKs likely won't be seeing a ton of changes before we go live; this class is still quite powerful (as it should be being a tank), even after some of the adjustments we've made to other classes and abilities.

Should probably read more of this thread since your point is, well pointless.

It takes what, 6 hours to research a trait. I do not think anyone will be buying a research scroll for that. Only a few weapon and armor traits are needed. Far from something that would benefit from a scroll.

A few people are trying to demonstrate that Zos will sell these crystals in the crown store. The reality is each of them is flat wrong and it will take Zos actually selling them in the crown store to give them a leg to stand on.

Until then, enjoy the silly and baseless accusation because that is all this is.

6 hours to research a trait? Do you even play this game? With research passives, it takes about a month to research the final trait in a line.

The reality is that you're being naive. Trait research is a precursor to trait change. Full stop. Trait research is already available in the crown store. Full stop. The logic that ZOS applied to trait research scrolls (it's a convenience item that saves you time) will be the same that they apply to Transmutation Crystals (it's a convenience item that saves you time).

Like I said, I'm going to seriously enjoy tagging you when these hit the Crown Store.

BUT, if you got all the passives and have ESO Plus the first trait only takes 4 hours. And if you say want to transmute your gear to Divines, how many traits per piece do you have to research? Just the one, divines. Getting to the point where you can transmute what you want is really really really really easy.

Only 1 character needs everything researched for crafting, other alts will just need the BiS traits researched which won’t take long.

However, I agree that crystals will be in the crown store. A lot of people won’t want to run dungeons for crystals or wait 30 days for pvp rewards. They’ll easily spend $5 to $10 dollars on Crystals to change a trait ASAP. I know many PvP players who would in a heartbeat.

they would be a fool for not making them avail for crowns, wtf mo money from them than the gambling crates will every bring in.

I don't expect they will. It would be pay-to-win. Transmutation is aimed at the sort of high-end gear used by competitive players. Buying the best traits for armour and weapons would help people get a better place on the leader boards.

ah, and don't forget to put it down on your resume that you were on the ESO leader boards, and put that tat on your *** as well, will sure help in getting MO blow jobs

Yes, eventually. Notice the wording. They have "no plans" to add it. That doesn't mean they won't have plans to add it in the future.

It was the exact same wording used by the exact same person when asked about adding RNG boxes.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.
