What a cryptic poll!

Not all achievements get me stuff. There is nothing I hate more in gaming, TESO or elsewhere, than the concept of achievements. Here you go, there's a nice pat on the back for doing a good job. "Good job, boy." Umm, no. The very word "achievement" sets off a rage in me I cannot begin to describe.


OTHER: Get rid of all achieves that grant no item. They are useless.


Once I find a game that can accomplish not patting me on the back with some stupid useless achieve then we can talk about per char vs acct wide, tyvm.

I agree with you and want account wide achievements, it annoys me that people don't because of titles like Grand Overlord and Emperor (especially when costumes are account wide).

Who cares if you see a level 10 with Grand Overlord? That just says that player on that account is good (or dedicated) enough to earn it. Do they really have to do that 12 times proudly display a title?
Does a good player having a new character somehow make them not a good player?

And of the above triggers you please just imagine me telling you that on my level one Bosmer Magicka Warden wearing the Emperors Regalia (which I can do).

agree with everything ,this would also be a great way to help maniac who can't reroll ... not because they are " lazy " or anything but simply because some people can't play a alt because this one have less achievement that the main char ... and this is frustrating. I can't explain better , only some maniac people can understand this feeling :P

I like character bound achivements. It's nice to see what I did an which character and I'm always happy when I get the Slayer-achivements on a new character (especially those for killing the emp or a grand overloard).

And how should all those achivements work that are tied to skill lines or provide some kind of reward to your character (not account) once you get them?

I'm glad with account-wide dyes, costumes and mounts but it is because of crown store purposes. We have account-wide guild and bank, items account wide, why I cant see MY achivments any time at any character? make them like collectibles

I'm not sure if I'd want titles earned to be readily available as account wide rewards for new characters to just have after earning them once on another character, but I guess merging the 'cheevos would be interesting? Maybe make achievement points have some more interesting use and purpose, first and foremost.

For me personally it gives me extra goals to work towards. I've done every quest in the game, done every dungeon in the game multiple times and levelled multiple characters.

So for me right now whilst awaiting something new to play I can look at that list of achievements and go "huh, I still need to kill 100 X in Y dungeon, I'll go queue for that and do a run tonight."

As for why I want them account wide (as I didn't answer that in my last post) it's because I am a completionist and having them locked to each character pushes me away from playing alts.

I want to do some content which need a tank, but don't want to use my tank because it doesn't help me progress in achievements on my main.

Account wide achievements is something I feel SWTOR got very right. There were generics for the account, ones for reaching X level in each class or progressing the class stories. So you wanted to make more characters and you enjoyed seeing the account progress as you did.

And, why should I be able to slot Daedric Lord Slayer on a character just out of the Wailing Prison? That character has only seen one Dolmen at that point.

I'd like to see account wide achievements. Like Turelus I'd like to see what stuff I have left to do. I'm about 40K away from Black Market Mogul, there's no way in hell I'm doing that on more then one character. Also the Master Angeler is a title you're only getting on 1 character. My crafter, crafts and is the only one getting those type of achievements. I don't care if the achievement titles are locked to only the character that actually got the achievement, but I'd like to see an account overview of what I've done.

1) its MY OWN in-game history

2) and why u dont care that 3 lvl no-name character can wear Emperor costume in Wailing Prison?
hm, Emperor in Wailing Prison? Varen Aquilarios is it you or hidden questline inside?

I would leave everything as it is but also allow for an account wide summary of achievements. Ideally it would show an achievement and then list the characters that have completed it.

Titles and whatever form of epeen u can get from achievs can be accountwide for all i care. But leave the log alone, all my chars have to earn their achievments themselves.

I honestly wouldn't mind account wide achievements, speaking as an achievement hunter with a handful of alts.

That said, trash poll is trash.
