Anyone excited? Is it worth participating in?
I know that there are certain sets that you can buy for Tel Var stones, but do those sets drop from mobs and bosses in IC?
If yes, will the drop chance increase with the event or will there only be double stones?

✭✭I never got set items from mobs, bosses or chests there, so I think IC sets can only be bought for tel var. You get only double tel var and key fragments. I even checked treasure vaults in IC dungeons just in case - they still drop only 2 items per use
Also, what is normal chance to get special reward from Molag Bal, 1%? Now it's 2% 
But place is overcrowded by both allies and enemies, for tel var farming it's better to wait when this event ends. Only thing worth doing now is farm Molag Bal if you need skin or pet
Drop rate is still horrible, but before event it can be hard even to simply find a farm group 1 -

✭tonight was stupid- since day one- its gotten zergier and zergier. people only want to farm molag bal it seems - and the way to do so is join a massive zerg.
Zos needs to rethink how to incentivsie small group pvp in that zone- cos what it is right now- sure it has a lot of people in it- but this isnnt quality gameplay.
they need to step back and wipe it clean. make it so its royal rumble 4 group max- every team for tthemselves. plenty of things can be thought up that are better than this.
to me its the best area- when its small man vs small man- its the best content too. when its zergy- which is the only way to survive= lets face it- its terrible.1 -

Otherwise those of us who suck are basically just support for the 'good players' who get loot each time. At least that how it seemed to me. I'd be happy to just get stones even, but you can't when a lot of people are there.4 -

Simple fix. Allow loot for top 10 DPS, top Healer (based on heals), and top Tank (based on damage blocked). Problem solved.Edited by CGPsaint on September 12, 2017 3:59PM1 -

✭✭✭I have participated in every ESO event to date and loved them all, except this one.
I already have the Scamp, had it since IC was new and before they nerfed the Simulacrum of Molag Bal, so I decided to try and get the skin.
Yes, got some good TV stones, if you can get back to base. Had guildies who havent done the quests, tried to do those for them, became a head ache. Went to center to hope for rare drops on Molag.
HA! 2+ full groups there farming, so ours made 3. What a joke!
Did Molag like 4 times in maybe 20 minutes, (respawn seemed really fast and he has been SO nerfed since my last time here!), I got a drop twice and it was junk. FYI: The "12 Person Drop" is for ALL the people there, not just for a "Group". If there are 3-4 groups, only the top 12 damg. of everyone get the good drops, and he was dropping SO fast, it was hard to get in 2 shots! Waste of time for most of our guildies.
TL:DR~ No Achievments, no "Special Event Goodies", only double TV and increased RNG chance. Way too many people to compete with for rare drops. Disappointing event IMO....

✭I've had this issue many times when I go there with my guild. We're usually a group of more than 12 and it gets highly unfair that there will always be someone who will get stuck with zero loot whatsoever. Worse still when some players only have one chance to go there every couple of weeks or so, either due to personal schedule or anything else.
The way I see it, this event does not reward people for going there. On the contrary. If you have a big group or just want to join in with the other zergs in participating on the event, you will actually be punished with zero loot. So you are either top DPS in the huge zerg or you're fortunate enough to be able to farm it at 5 in the morning when no one else is around. Either way, a huge slice of the population loses.
Should just make it so for the duration of the event everyone gets guaranteed loot. Problem solved.2 -
