Do I have to reg with another e-mail anyway? Have 2 copies of the files twice? Can I box on the same PC using 2 different accounts?

If you're on PC, you use the same files but need separate emails for each account you buy from ZOS. (If you're on Steam, you'll have to buy the second account elsewhere, and launch direct from the .exe to side step Steam's auto log in.)

That said, boxing is against the TOS: while it's possible to have multiple instances running on the same machine, you're not allowed to use them simultaneously. So no self-made basically-a-bot trains for you.

Source: I have a second account for more inventory mules. It was cheaper to buy a new account than to get the crowns for two more character slots, and it's super-convenient when I need to bounce items. (Ele's Set Tracker add-on is a life-saver for this.)

I'm still waiting for some improvements done to housing, i.e. add or update existing chests/closets/boxes so that you can put in your items. I grabbed a 2nd account when Amazon had a sale. I was thinking about doing it anyway because a few days earlier I was short on inventory space so deconstructed gear (and sold jewelry) to make room. The day after I did that a guild mate asked if I would help him farm for the gear I had just gotten rid of. So now I have a 2nd account I can send any gear with good traits to. Then if it becomes useful I know where it is.

The 2nd account came in real handy during I think it was the jubilee festival. Was the one where you could get a bunch of motifs quick. The prices on motifs really dropped while that was going on so I sent any I got to the 2nd account. No way I would have had room for them all otherwise.

Checked on prices just three days ago and a motif that was selling for 1200 gold when I sent it to my 2nd account is selling for 28,000 gold now. If I sell for the average price just one character has over a million gold worth of motifs and I haven't checked the other characters yet.

One character has 80 rings in his inventory but I'm pretty certain most will always be useless. Just in case though...

The 2nd account characters never leave the bank.

I've heard of quite a few people who have second accounts. I don't, but only because I don't think my mounts and costumes would transfer to the new account. If I thought I could use them on my other account too, I'd get a second account today just so I could have a few extra alts.

For my second account alts I would have to rely on motifs because there's no way I'm buying costumes for 2nd account.. I'll stick with generic horses too

(I'm actually kind of afraid that I may end up spending money on horsies and costumes and.. everything else on 2nd acct too)

Sorry, I couldn't help it. I have a second account. I told myself I wasn't going to buy crowns other than my ESO+ crowns. That was a lie. I told myself I wasn't going to buy crates on my second account. That was a lie. I told myself I wasn't going to buy costumes, mounts, etc from the crown store. That was a lie. I told myself I wasn't going to mail things from one account to another. And THAT was also a lie. If I was on the Maury Povich show, I'd be in serious trouble!

Anyway, good luck to you if you get a second one. I find myself playing my second one more than my first one right at the moment.

If all you want is more alts and don't need to send stuff back and forth, you can just create characters on the other megaserver (EU if you're NA) using the same account. Am advantage to this is that you will get any account wide perks you have on your primary megaserver, including a ESO+, Morrowind, and subscriber-reward collectibles.

Crown Store purchases do not copy over, so you'll be starting from scratch there. But you'd be doing that with a new account too.

That's actually an excellent idea but I'd like to be able to play on same server. It's also a way for me to create a guild there for personal bank space, or a way for my main characters to join so I can be a guild leader without giving up personal guild bank space. Mules, alts, more space, was worth it I think.
