Breton Racial Passives Need Buff! Their racial passives are junk in comparison to others. Was it forgotten when they did the sweeping Racial buffs?? Do they want ot make it less desirable because a lot of people play it? When you compare the two classes that are closest to them Dark Elf and High Elf... The dark elf magicka, stamina, and raw damage... and the High Elf's magicka recovery, magicka, AND Raw damage... versus the Bretons magicka and cost reduction feels like a slap in the face...the spell resist is nice but not nearly as useful as damage and magicka recovery..

Imperials are also in need of some love. Look at all the races with multiple perks to their passives. Plus red diamond is trash. There is no reason not to be an Orc for stamina pvp builds.

The max Magicka bonus is on par with Altmer, and the cost reduction is really handy. The Spell resistance could be better, but the overall package is pretty nice.

3960 spell resist with 10% max magicka is pretty powerful. Cost reduction isn't worth much - just a small bonus.

I chose it for the spell resist and reduction in cost, not to mention it's the Anglo-Saxon race of ESO and I'm white :D

Saying they need a buff is, maybe, a bit over the top, but they are subpar compared to the other magicka races, putting them in the last place when choosing a race for your magicka dps toon.

I main a breton since I started playing, and while the 10% max magicka is on par with altmers and dunmers, the spell resistance is basically useless if you know how to not stand in stupid, while the 3% cost reduction is meh at best. In making a magsorc I went for altmer, because damage bonus, duh.

I know where the OP is coming from, and while I do agree that they are kinda fine, I wouldn't mind some love, I don't know, like changing the spell resistance to a spell penetration bonus comparative to the the flat damage bonus altmers and dunmers have (throwing one out there), or, a flat bonus to magic damage (that way altmer would be the best for sorcs, dunmer for DK, breton for nb).

The spell resistance, as it is now, considering it's super easy to get to res cap, it's just plain useless, and 3% cost reduction is barely noticeable.

Add 3% more magic damage with the reduced cost and bam they're now a competitive damage dealer.

Also take away Red Diamond on Imperials and add like 6% max magicka

I prefer Bretons for heavy armored magicka builds, and for magplars. They're really not that bad; they have resource management, mitigation, and damage. What else do you need?

Let's look at what roles every race is recommended for:

    Argonian: all roles
    Breton: Healer/DPS
Dark Elf: DPS (BiS for DKs)
    Wood elf: DPS
    Imperial: Tank/DPS
    Orcs: DPS/Tank
High Elf: DPS (BiS for most magicka classes)
Redguard: DPS (BiS for half stam classes)
Khajiit: DPS (BiS for half stam class)
    Nord: Tank

Out of this entire list I would say only two races stand out in terms of being interior: Nords, and Wood Elves.

The only race that really over performs are high elves.

The only races that need buffed: Nords and Bosmers

The only race that needs nerfed: High Elves

If DPS is not everything - let's not buff Warden DPS.

They are fine. If you want to play a DPS successfully, just play another class.
Let's look at what roles every race is recommended for:

    Argonian: all roles
    Breton: Healer/DPS
Dark Elf: DPS (BiS for DKs)
    Wood elf: DPS
    Imperial: Tank/DPS
    Orcs: DPS/Tank
High Elf: DPS (BiS for most magicka classes)
Redguard: DPS (BiS for half stam classes)

    Nord: Tank

The only race that really over performs are high elves.

The only races that need buffed: Nords and Bosmers

The only race that needs nerfed: High Elves

And there is no reason for things to stay that way. It's not good for the game to not let players play whichever race they like the look of without hurting their performance.

Otherwise, let's just roll back to class balance of the previous update applying the same logic:

Let's look at what roles every class is recommended for:
DK- tank and dps (BiS for stamina DPS),
Sorc - dps (BiS for magicka DPS),
    Templar - healing,
NB - dark sacraments and heists.

Classes are fine, no need to change them. If you want to play a certain role - choose a corresponding class. RIght? WRONG.

All I am looking for a damage or penetration buff to Bretons... I would gladly trade the spell resist and magicka cost reduction ... the resist is gotten so many ways via spells/skills and the cost reduction if 3% is a joke... the 10% max magicka is great that's on par with everyone else.. I have an idea lets make Bretons 17% max magicka and no other passives...
