RoamingRiverElk✭✭✭✭✭It is very disappointing to see this happening for the skins/achievements pairing just so that they could sell the better looking skin in the crownstore. I do not believe this was done just so that we could proudly wear both achievement items at the same time - a skin and a hat. The hat I would not wear on any of my characters in the first place, and the better looking skin was put in the crown store.

This would absolutely suck, but something I could totally see them doing. I hope it's just added to the store like the ebony skin, though. Limited time, a bit pricey, but a guaranteed purchase instead of the awful rng in crates.0 -

I have mixed feelings at the moment so I won't post my exact thoughts on this.1 -
mortaurSoul ShrivenI never post, because I don't believe it makes any difference. But in this case i just wanted speak up with others on how incredibly disappointing this it and to give a different perspective.
For some sure, skins are an exclusivity/elitist thing. However for me, this isn't about being an elitist or wanting exclusivity, Its just about having a cool reward you can work for in game. This game is lacking in them. While this doesn't go for everyone, for some people getting the no death/speed/and hm require a lot of effort and real time. I know its just pixels and a game, but working for something does gives you a sense of accomplishment and validation (of wasting your time) in the reward. For some, the reward driven sense of accomplishment is what makes you want to even step foot in these dungeons to begin with. In fact I only pvp'd and crafted/ bought pve gear in this game until Hist. It was the Amberplasm Skin from Ruins of Mazz that got me out of pvp and into dungeons, which then lead to trials and experiencing the massive PvE side of this game.
Anyways, just to clarify, I couldn't care less about eso selling crown store skins, i have some of them. But I love the amber plasm and wear it because its the one the required me to work with friends, create memories and spent alot of time getting.
I just wish cash grabs didn't impact the ones that require actual time and effort in the game. It is possible to make cool crown store skins...and make cool ones in game and please both sides.1
