The best response is "I paid for the game too, and have just as much right to be here". If they don't like it then they can go play something single player.
Also try to remember that yourself - then you'll be more able to laugh off their idiocy instead of trying to excuse your presence to them in a game that you paid for.

Its true its MMO and he can do whatever he wants but if you do that you are either kid or idiot...

Until the introduce a mechanic where the mobs come out with Property of "Player Steve" or whatever, no one owns them. Do as you see fit.
You attract more flies with honey than vinegar, and the person making the initial request in a nice way can get you a decent compromise where everyone goes away from it being ok with the outcome - being horribly pushy or confrontational or rude or dictatorial is more likely to result in a sort of "ok, if you're going to be rude to me, I'm going to do my best to **** up your day" type reaction. So many people don't seem to realise this simple fact of life. Or maybe they want a confrontation and something inconsequential to be angry about, I dunno *shrug*

To be perfectly honest, and even though it's always better to be polite, in the case of boss grinders/farmers, it makes no difference whether they are polite or not. If they dare telling me to go away from them, I will stick around and do anything in my power to ruin their purpose.
Because wanting to keep anything just for oneself is the exact opposite of what an MMO is meant for.
Because people in an MMO are meant to group up and help each other. Because of all those selfish and entitled people, many lower-level players are blocked in their progression because other players won't dare helping them (like someone here described with temple bosses and arena bosses). People who tell other people to stay away from their mobs and their TV stones are damaging the game and the community. They should go play something single-player.
