Tried BG tonight won my first match. It was capture the flag. The StamTemplar build I use in CP campaigns works extremely well in non-CP.

Only difference is I chug tri pots more in BG.

    number 9...number 9...

woo hoo...reached tier 3 on character number 9...biggest challenge this campaign has been in overcoming the mighty queue monster...

something cool happened...was up on top of ash getting overrun...enemy players coming up the stairs...noticed i still had my ult, so popped a pot, shielded up, rolled down the stairs and went to fire off my northern storm on the second flag...

just so happens at exactly about the same time a small group of allies rolled through the front door popping off their ults on the way to the second flag...

amazed to still be up and kicking, headed upstairs with the other players, and, then we all died - we were way, way outnumbered :p

had one of those nights where I was about two minutes behind every keep capture...fortunately with double AP and a full map was still able to reach 100k AP in a few hours...

so I've decided to keep my two wardens on as slow a leveling process as possible...while i was waiting out my 140 queue had to figure out something that wouldn't level me too fast...not much into fishing - ended up spending some nice quality time farming craglorn...

when the god kids were younger and would do the whole kid thing and repeat the same stuff over and over again - i would break out the "number 9" thing and after repeating that for a solid minute or two - they would miraculously stop repeating stuff...

I'm about 3/4 of the way through Overlord grade 2. I'm not sleeping this weekend until I get my five stars dammit.

    And when that's done.....

I'll play my mDK for a little longer but I'm thinking about retiring it from PVP so I can focus on another class.

I miss all the recognizable names from Vivec but Shor has been a fun adventure. It Shor is fun! (I'm such a dork)

I decided to go off and solo for a while capturing resources behind the lines and wrap up my scouting and resource capture missions. As an AD, of course I had to scout Dragonclaw lumber mill. So I slotted rapids and took off towards the top of the map. Along the way I'll grab a couple resources at Ash and Aleswell. So far so good, no one showed up. It's nice that Ash lumber mill is so far from the keep. I finally make it up to Dragonclaw and scout the lumber mill. (I imagine my notes on the place read something like "Looks very similar to every other lumber mill".)

I decided since I am there, I may as well take it. Since it is in BFE it is a level five resource and I can't cap it on complete auto-pilot (I am getting a new attack routine down that works well but if I snooze through it I can get the embarrassing NPC death). Anyway, I've got all the NPC's dead and I'm burning that blue flag down when I see a rider approaching from the castle and a moment of panic sets in.

Sometimes I forget that I'm not a total noob and that I'm not on Vivec and that there are many new PvP players right now. I figured, worst case scenario I die and save myself that ride back to the gate. So he comes charging in and I get him with the destructive reach stun, toppling charge in, spears-spears-spears, radiant and bam! This guy drops without landing a blow. I almost felt bad (almost). There are still many times where crap like that happens to me. I go back to burning the flag and replacing the sickly blue lion with the Mighty Eagle Banner when here comes the guy I killed and a friend. Oh no. I'm no 1vX master. So I pop an immovability potion and brace myself for my death. Only, what's this? He's bringing a level 47 with him? Oh guys... you shouldn't have! It's just what I wanted!

So I'm pounding on the level 47 punching bag (sorry guy!) and the other guy is rolling around shooting me with poison injection and literally nothing else. I had to get my bearings after waxing meatshield so I'm standing in place looking for where the annoying arrows are coming from and I spot him. I again hit him with stun and then melt his face with Soul Assault. Good night. He's down and a third rider is coming up and it's a name I've seen before but not one of the unkillable tank - high dps guys (how do they do that?). It was, however, another solid player. So he comes flying in and my ultimate is gone and my potions are still recharging. Then boom! The flag flips and my honor guards unload on this guy and I do too. He drops and I decide it's time to get the hell out of there.

I hit rapids and jet off south. Four dead blues, resource scouted and captured and I'm heading out. Hmm... Bruma is on the way, maybe I'll take that too...

Well I reached Grand Overlord and the event is over so I'm going to slow it down. The decoy Elder Scrolls that you can buy from the achievement vendor in Cyrodiil are awesome. They really light up the area.

Well you know it's crossed my mind to move to another alliance. But if I do it, then it's done for good. There's no going back.

But..... I get mega-zerged down a lot, and I think to myself those guys don't need any more numbers. The vast majority of my deaths are death by zerg. But then again, all alliances zerg so it would be no different.

AD has some really good guilds that tolerate each other and will coordinate when needed. That's the formula for success. There's no doubt it is a numbers game to an extent, but it's how the numbers are distributed that decides what color the map looks in the long run.

I'm back in Vivec! Shor was fun but Vivec is the only consistently populated campaign. Fighting 1 bar against 3 bars isn't too much fun no matter which side you are on.

One last Shor story (I'll keep it shor...t haha!) AD is holding Brindle with four or five guys against a slightly larger red force. Pact forces have breached the front the door and are attacking the inner keep. This happened so quickly after we took Brindle back from the blues we barely got the door up. So I'm shooting down at the fire ants and doing pretty well by managing to kill couple. I'm stunning them in the oil and beaming like a champ. Raining meteors and killing those who don't know better. A few times I've been knocked back from the edge but I get up and shoot down again. Suddenly I go flying FORWARD over the edge into the ant hill and I'm wrecked by fall damage and finished by the reds.

I was confused and WTF'd about how I had fallen forward. I check the death recap and there was a flame reach from a Covenant player listed first. Apparently this guy had hidden on the edge while we took the keep. The reds attacked so soon after we captured it that we hadn't done a keep sweep and when he saw my back to him, he saw his opportunity and blasted me over the wall. Props to that guy and I hope to see him again soon... this time when I'm looking.

oh yeah @Ballcap ...that's a name to keep track of...

although imcredibly petty - if someone disposes of me in a sort of frustrating, unpleasant, repetitive, and or weird gamertag ID kind of way - let's just say, nothing puts a smile on my face bigger than a well timed revenge notification...

    helps to provide pvp purpose...

I'll never forget...i hadn't been in battle for about an hour (off to some quest or skyshard hunting somewhere)...got in to a scuffle and ended up with a revenge notification...i stood there for a few seconds trying to remember when I died last or who they were - couldn't remember...still made me smile though...

got one for ya - was finishing up my AP/tier 3 stuff, and, went on my last, but not least, character - a level 21 DC khajiit stam warden...

got the pelinal's scroll and headed off to a fight by nikels...found some action and noticed I was gassing out quick...

went to the aeylid well to east on the way to roebuck - got jumped by some low level 40 character...

I was kind of surprised by their aggression...normally the lower level characters on Vivec stay fairly well tucked in to the zerg...

most all my characters are built with shields and buff resistances in mind...so it surprised me when I died a couple of times pretty quick (which happens a lot when I first log in)...

i remember heading back out to roebuck and ran in to a bunch of low level characters - my first thought was some guild must be hosting a intro to cyrodiil event...a second later noticed everyone on my side was non-vet...i forgot that I had paid a visit to Kyne a few weeks earlier :)

no shame in my game - man do I love me some cp...

I think Zos needs to close xarxes (spelling?)

I'm AD and I forgot to change my campaign back to Vivec after the event. It's looking like a campaign people will just use for flipping emp. Yesterday, I was up by Chalman and a lone yellow was taking the scroll back from EP. I dislike campaigns like this. Would love to go into the 30 day non cp but the Lunchables zerg super hard in there along with their alliance guild.

Also @reiverx, congrats on your rank. Saw you a few times during the event. Also think you saved me a few times lol.

woo hoo...got a chance to get in for a little bit of saturday night's alright for fighting action...

went in red cuz had a special request to "be fire guy" (all my mag dk offensive abilities are fire related) - ugh, does summer vacation ever end for kids :p

was a very yellow map...on the plus side - still had my 2x AP scroll active and actually hit 100k AP in just under an hour...just got lucky with some battle, warfront and bounty quests and picked up AP super fast...

probably will stay red and play my other 2 EP characters next...

I'm fairly happy with most of my gear set ups on everyone - but, been thinking a bunch of switching my magblade from velidreth, spinners and julianos (5 pc on DW) to velidreth, knight slayer and torug's pact...

also, probably gonna re-gear my stam dk...right now I'm using 2 medium sets and heavy monster pieces...wanna switch to one heavy and one medium set and keep the monster gear heavy...basically go back to a 5 heavy and 2 medium setup...

I hate dying to easily :p

it's funny, was able to go a full campaign without changing any one's gear and managed to go from 40k in the bank to 440k coins...

still though need to work on my gameplay and gear set ups for battlegrounds - so, I may need to make sure to have some alternate sets on hand to compete in the cramped quarters, no cp environments...

today was a pretty good day...needed to rest up today and took the opportunity to get in on 2 of my AD characters...

it's weird - one of the characters, a stamblade, I thought I had gotten down fairly well...not sure where I went wrong, but, my bow doesn't quite feel right...need to rearrange my bow bar abilities...right now I have: mirage, vigor, relentless focus, shadowy disguise, and poison injection (using soul tether ult)...

the other bar is 2H: reverse slice, funnel health, surprise attack, shadowy disguise, and critical rush (using incap ult)...

spent most of the day going from roebuck to ash and fighting blues...had some really good, fairly even skirmishes throughout the day...

finished up on my mag sorc...man is he fun to play around zergs...as long as I can remember to shield up and stay moving - he can do quite a bit of damage...

EP is still keeping pace with AD, hopefully it'll stay close...

It's been interesting on the AD side of things. We have players actively trying to give scrolls to EP any chance they get. While I understand that some people suck and there is nothing you can do about it, the people that defend giving scrolls away as a "strategic move" are the most annoying. No, giving the scroll to EP will not stop red from attacking us. No, letting EP have the DC scroll will not stop DC from attacking us. If you are going to be scummy and cheat for the other team I think you suck, but don't get in zone chat and try to tell everyone that it is a "smart" move. It isn't.

ugh, I wish there were some way to prevent that behavior...seriously next level frustrating...

during the time I was in it definitely felt like we were pushing much harder against blue than red - but, that may have just been the whole "path of least resistance thing"...

zone chat though seemed to be pretty chill...

it's been a while since I've grouped up, but, i still remember the most cool groups I would join were normally in AD...

change is normally the only thing to stay consistent...

here's a few key items that stuck out to me:
    - Reduced the bonus Critical Damage from The Shadow Mundus Stone to 9% from 12%.
    - Reduced Critical Strike Chance from The Thief Mundus Stone to 7% from 11%.
    - Reduced the damage on the Damage Health (Oblivion) weapon enchantment by approximately 36%.
    - Increased the Weapon Critical or Spell Critical rating from Item Set bonus stats by 21%
    - Increased the Spell Critical Strike rating granted by the Mother’s Sorrow Item Set to 1924 from 1643.
    - Fixed an issue where the bonus from the Torug’s Pact item set was modifying the strength and cooldown of poisons.
    - Fixed an issue where the "Too many searches in rapid succession" message would appear too frequently when navigating to the Listings tab of the Guild Store.

    this is a biggie:
    - Improved treasure chests found in Veteran Dungeons and Trials. Now, simple-quality chests will never spawn in a Veteran Dungeon or Trial, which significantly improves your chance to get set items from treasure chests in Veteran Dungeons and Trials.

mundus stone changes are going to be pretty significant this patch:
-The values and bonuses of Mundus Stones have been adjusted in the following ways, with the listed values being for CP160+ characters:
-The Apprentice: Increased Spell Damage to 238 from 167.
    - The Atronach: Increased Magicka Recovery to 238 from 167.
    - The Lady: Now grants Spell Resistance in addition to Physical Resistance. Value increased to 2752 from 1980.
    - The Lover: Now grants 2752 Physical and Spell Penetration instead of granting Spell Resistance.
    - The Lord: Increased Max Health to 2231 from 1452.
    - The Mage: Increased Max Magicka to 2028 from 1320.
    - The Serpent: Increased Stamina Recovery to 238 from 167.
    - The Shadow: Reduced the bonus Critical Damage to 9% from 12%.
    - The Steed: Increased Health Recovery to 238 from 167.
    - The Thief: Reduced Critical Strike Chance to 7% from 11%.
    - The Tower: Increased Max Stamina to 2028 from 1320.
    - The Warrior: Increased Weapon Damage to 238 from 167.
    - The Ritual remains unchanged.

    some changes to armor/weapon traits:
    - Adjusted the values and bonuses of Weapon Traits in the following ways, with the listed values being for Two-Handed, gold-quality items:
    - Decisive: Increased the chance to generate one additional Ultimate to 40% from 34%.
    - Defending: Reduced the Spell and Physical Resistance granted to 2752 from 5160.
    - Infused: Increased the bonus value granted to the applied enchantment to 30% from 20%, and increased the cooldown reduction to the applied enchantment to 50% from 40%.
    - Nirnhoned: Increased the bonus to the weapon’s damage to 15% from 11%.
    - Powered: Increased the bonus to healing done to 9% from 7%.
    - Sharpened: Reduced the Spell and Physical Penetration granted to 2752 from 5160.
    - Charged, Intricate, Ornate, Precise and Training remain unchanged.
    - The Prosperous Armor Trait has been re-designed to give it a combat function. It now grants 11 Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery as a gold-quality item, instead of gold gain. Due to these changes, this trait has been renamed to Invigorating.
    - Reduced the damage on the Damage Health (Oblivion) weapon enchantment by approximately 36%.

    item set bonus changes:
    - Universally adjusted the values of some 1, 2, 3, and 4-piece bonus stats for all Item Sets:
    - Max Health, Magicka, or Stamina has been increased by 13.3%
    - Weapon Critical or Spell Critical rating has been increased by 21%
    - Physical or Spell Resistance has been increased by 13.8%
    - Physical or Spell Penetration has been decreased by 22%

almost forgot to mention - a short update for you Vivec fans:

when I logged off last night DC had a slight lead on AD with still 20 days to go...

not sure if this is any kind of significant change in how the campaign has been going for the last six months or so...

probably won't be able to tell for at least another 10 days or so...

    good shot @davey1107 ...

    - five focused aims for about 28k...i like collecting death recap screenshots that include all one type ability...it's not easy to have that much of a resource stored up - and, to have all of them hit...

I didn't recognize the sound until about the third shot - too late...

I try to keep an eye out when clearing dolmens in cyrodiil...you timed it well :)

just checked the score - all three alliances are within about 70 points or so of each other...

fingers crossed the score stays this way for at least a few more days...lots of fun all over the map...

AD is in third (as of last night)! I'm not much for the guild politics although I recognize some names. Apparently a few guilds left Vivec from AD. It looks like the days of AD winning campaign after campaign are over. So continues the great cycle. AD are down for now, but will rise again! It'll be cool to see which "new members" rise up to become the next great group leaders. I usually run solo, so it won't be me.

As is expected when your team is in third place, our zone chat has become quite toxic. It may be better for my own well being to turn it off. May favorite is some guy accusing me of being DC. As if I have time to level an alt in another faction. There is just me with my Templar and all the skill points in the world running around for AD.

I did recently get the full motif of ebony armor and that chest piece sure looks good. I combined that with my Imperial helmet and I've got a pretty solid Paladin look going on.

as of last night, EP was slightly ahead...

I'm not sure how long it'll last, but, right now faction balance is absolutely amazing...

for me - ideal pvp is being able to switch fighting different factions frequently...having fairly even battles going on at two different fronts...good stuff :p

today's Wednesday, which means it's a day to fight as red...one of my main trading guilds just so happens to also be a large pvp guild (SVER True Bloods)...i love that they put in their MOTD which days and what map they play...

it makes it easy for me to remember to stay red on those days...

currently I'm actually in 3 EP guilds...it does get a little weird at times checking the roster and noticing I'm one of very few players rocking an AD or DC emblem...

    not on wednesdays though :)

I've reached 100k AP on 9 of my characters (still have my level 20 AD mag warden to get out in to the action)...

for my other characters I'm going to look at spending some time in IC for the rest of the campaign...

I've done quite a few battlegrounds now - but, I prefer the "open" nature and pace of combat in imperial city to the structure of battlegrounds...

fishing/farming tel var from the district alliance platforms in IC is always a bunch of fun for me...
