dotme and Tequilafire, kinda jelly hes moving to EP. I really really want to see EP's zone chat.

LMAO - it was lit up last night... I had to go get popcorn

Months of pent-up frustration unleashed - gameplay almost ground to a halt. Very amusing to read and he had a solid "right back at ya" attitude which only made it funnier.

Btw ran my StamWarden last night in Sanj's group. Sub fissure is really good for group play, so is Permafrost(AoE Major Protection). AoE Major Phy/Spell armor reduction is brutal if you have someone bombing for you.

    I got my 5pc Impregnable set this morning for my MagWarden tank. I think her build will be;

    5pc Seducer(Heavy/Sturdy)
5pc Impregnable (found neck/rings and 1pc medium/light impen armor for it)
    2pc Bloodspawn(Heavy)

    S+B/Resto balanced stats

Going to be a Heal Tank with a focus on getting out Thicket as much as possible with support from Guard, and AoE buffs like Ice Fortress.

She's Argonian so the extra heals, extra health, and more resources on potions drank will be really good for this build. Finally! A tailed race build I can get excited about!

howdy everyone :) i hope y'alls week is starting off well...as i was coming to work i was thinking about you @TequilaFire and the fact that i still have about 15 years to go in the workforce...

so, as of last night - EP and DC were within about 100 points or so of each other, and, AD has taken around a 1k lead with about 9 days to go in the campaign...

did a lot of alliance switching this weekend, was able to get 8 of my 10 characters up to tier 3 (100k AP) rewards...and, man do i need the coin...

I remember when i first made it over 100k coins - i was super happy, think i actually reached around 400k before i became obsessed with trying out different armor sets...once i get my last 2 characters to 100k - gonna take a break for a minute and focus on my merchant game a little more...

speaking of which, ugh - my "elite" trading guild (back alley trading) just raised the weekly price to 15k a week :'( ...i have 2 other large guilds (morning star and sver true bloods) i could trade through - but, they've started listing Vivec as their home pvp campaign - so, not sure how much longer i'll last in those guilds...

feeling a little like this at the moment:
    853215.jpg

since i've stopped grouping in pvp for the last six months or so - i'm feeling pretty detached from the whole alliance war/faction thing...plus, with so many new names and people on the map - i don't know...

fortunately i do enjoy the competition (more and more small scale and 1v1), putting together gear sets and trying them out...

plus pouring oil on folks never gets old (i know this is weird, but - i so wish there were accompanying screams from below)...oh yeah - i'm a pretty fearsome warrior while working a couple of flaming oils @kylewwefan (very cool story about snagging your son's user name :) ) beware of my OP oils :#

haven't ran in to you for a little bit @Takes-No-Prisoner :( ...i love reading about the different gear sets you put together - you are most definitely an inspiration (and one of the reasons my bank coin is so low :))...i try hard not to directly copy other folks builds, gear setups - it's hard though when i read something and think to myself "hmmmm, that sounds like fun"...

the good part of that though is more and more my gear/build are being refined to where they are able to carry me when i'm in cyrodiil...it still takes about 20 minutes or so to get comfortable playing different characters, but, for the most part i've been able to build up their defenses enough to help with the transitions...

occasionally though there can still be a whole lot of dying that first 20 minutes or so...

oh yeah, congrats to senor @wazzz56 for making it on the battleground leaderboard - actually was numero uno...considering the chaos and "bloodbath" BG's can be - very very nice...man, that's one heck of a lethal "healer" ya got there sir....

Well, I was leveling and am probably going to continue to level tonight so of course you're not gonna see me. The coin I made while grinding I just re-rolled into new gear. All that's left is to get the MagWarden to 50, then put the gold she makes towards her Sturdy Seducer armor. (Still need to get Dawnbreaker on StamWarden, and lv10 Mages Guild on MagWarden-- but that'll come later)

Can't sleep on Impregnable armor though. It's not the meta right now, but I'm sure Wazz is making some good money off of selling pieces. Since it allows you to have reallly good crit resist while building other traits into your armor. The fact the armor comes in Heavy, Medium, Light with Arcane,Robust,Healthy jewelry is huge for gear building.

It'll certainly become a favorite for builds/classes with no escape option.

I did just make a set of impen heavy Hundings to go with Viper or Ophidian venom. It's probably just me not being very good, but my damage is terrible with it.

I did still get 1 shot by another nightblade....snipe ambush incap dead. Only thing I heard was the ambush noise and I was done.

I duel a magic Sorc for like 10 minutes before give up. Could take the beating but not much damage. Is heavy armor no good for Stam toons?

I've also been wandering why so many people like the Viper set. It didn't seem to do much for me. Neither did the venom really?

I have tons of mats so it really doesn't cost me anything. Or it could have just been the shield stacking Sorc?

@kylewwefan ...yeah, you would think 5 pieces of impenetrable heavy should prevent any successfu gank attacks...just, must have run into someone with crazy high damage output...

I would have thought by now after 1000's of deaths in cyrodiil i would be numb to dying, but, still get frustrated at times when I get hit by those folks really good at animation canceling and take 20 to 30k damage before I can either shield, block or heal...

holy cow, putting in work on my EP mag dk - it literally feels like I'm playing with a whole zone of randoms - I'm not judging :#

while it's super fun to play solo - even better when you can solo zerg surf - best yet if you can solo zerg surf against both factions and rotate back and forth between fights (pvp bliss)...

got a chance to catch gooch jumping from a tower...didn't have emperor slayer on this character, so that was cool...later on he killed me at the chalman mile gate, never saw him - don't know why but, he used eye of whatever on me...that may have been a bit of overkill, then again, i guess it generates pretty quick for him...lotus fan, concealed weapon, eye of whatever, and something else...good for him - I think he was out there soloing?

I know one of the reasons i die a lot early on when I'm playing...when I initially log in - I wanna kill folks so bad that I generally rush in to any and all situations...

thankfully after a while I'll calm down and try to make a habit of picking better fights and making sure to shoot first, preferably without them knowing I'm shooting at them prior to me getting at least one or two attacks in - best if they're preoccupied fighting someone else :p

fair fights = way to much having to rez...

howdy @Takes-No-Prisoner ...got a chance to run in to your buddy sanj -- dropped a meteor on me at farrugut farm...

I was turning the flag at the moment...man, it was a level 4 resource - that sucked (not the meteor, the guards) - it took me a while to kill all the guards, the npc's were no joke...

I can't imagine what a pain in the butt it would be in a no cp campaign...they almost killed me a couple times :#

sanj was with this player named "pepe" - turns out old "pepe" is one of those Xv1 bagger types...don't think i actually know senor/senorita "pepe", so - not so cool...

all good in the end though, had a chance to help kill old "pepe" three times in fairly short succession thereafter...

yeah, had to give "pepe" the ol guffaw :)

to their credit though - the character they had made a fairly decent pin cushion :D

How do you tell what level the resources are?

I was trying to catch up with my group and ran through the farm at bloodmayne and the npc beat me silly. My buddy was saying something about it being a level 5 resource that's why they're so tough.

I've heard the levels thing brought up before, but I'm usually not trying to take one by myself.

I was basically CC to death. No immunity after breaking free. They pop negates, put a bubble on me. Felt like being gank banged by a whole goon squad. Kind of embarrassing actually. LOL!

    @kylewwefan

Press the touch pad on the controller[bring up the map], highlight a keep or resource, press X to check level status. I would take some time hovering over different castles and reading what buffs each one has at that moment.

Keep in mind that a level 5 keep will sport stone walls with 350,000 health // compare to level 1 270,000 health. Keep doors lv5 are 150,000 and lv 1 ~125,000.

So understanding how important it is taking resources and keeping keeps leveled up is very important. It's the difference between arriving to defend on time, or defending against red and blue all at once.

They're going to fix that in the next patch, which for us is mid-July I think?
In all reports we confirm the in game server data ("my sheet") first along with talking with QA and our server engineers to see what's going on. As that was happening, I was logging in to confirm it in person. As for why this wasn't seen by me personally until now, I've been leveling a warden, playing in battlegrounds with my other characters to help iron out the LFG issues, and in the times I've gone into Cyrodiil I've been in IC. I'm sorry we didn't catch this sooner, and we have a fix ready that our engineers need to verify doesn't cause other issues.
I can solo level 5 resources most of the time on my stamblade but I hear magica builds have a miserable time because of all the negates etc. So you're not alone... lol

As @Takes-No-Prisoner points out, you can see keep and resource levels via the map and "X" button so you can get a feel for the intensity you're rolling in to.

Yeah a resource is an absolute...well yeah to take as a magic toon. All of the bubbles, fireballs and stuns they throw on us, make us easy targets for hungry AP farmers and gankers. So everytime I soloed a resource on my MagSorc I always have to be extra careful.

With all due respect, is there a particular reason you are singling out templar and warden exclusively here? There are 3 other very strong options you are not considering.

Because theyre generally considered to have the best healing class trees which provide healing/group buffing options aside from simply relying on restoration staff?

Yes Ive know/run with good healers of all class, but its generally pretty clear on what 2 classes sit at the top of the healing category.

Well your assumption is wrong unfortunately.

What? lol How is he wrong

Because fundementally for example you can achive just as much utility and raw healing output by all 5 of classes in the pvp healer role.

To assume warden and templar are the only suited healers at the top in pvp is to be both short sighted and uninformed.

You really can't. Pet Sorcs are really the only one that can compete in raw healing output to a group, but its reliant on the pet which can and will die a lot. I cannot speak about Wardens because I know little to nothing about the class, but having played all 4 others in PvP I can tell you that without a doubt magicka templar cannot be outperformed when it comes to a PvP healer. Sure the others can be *strong* but none of them can top a magplar. I really don't think I have to explain why.

Well i wont turn this into a thread educating people not in the know about raw healing output between the classes and how they are objectively on par with one another all things considered. If you think bol and matriarch are what make or break pvp healing or that templar wins out in other categories such as utility, you have a great deal to learn about how the classes actually function as healers under the hood.

Magplar is the best healer, simple.

    K

Tell me a set up better than a heavy magplar with troll king/ trans/ seducer? With breath smart heals? With the ability their purge? With constant minor mending + ult heal with is also a smart heal?

Swap seducer for an aggressive set and copy the rest. Or run wizards repost for wide minor maim coverage. Put it on a nb. 3 times the group wide hot potency plus, and twice the ult generation. Lights champion uptime > remembrance. Better application of troll king and transmutation when not immediately in range. Minor mending is off set entriely by siphoning outgoing healing increase passives and funnel health ticks even moreso if argonian. Healing ward, mutagen and lights champion is the only burst heal an intelliegent group requires unless you are playing the brain dead cyrodil zerg game.

Small scale where individual skill is paramount, nb healers are excpetional and easily compete with a templar in pvp that actually asks for performance from players.

How are your heal over times going to out heal the 20k burst damage of a procblade?

They aren't. Thats barely gonna keep them alive from 1 destro ult. He's also gonna get melted if he's focused. Ward isn't enough.

The funnel hot is bad, it goes off your damage which is halved, then the heal iis halved again.
The rapid regen heal isn't a nb skill.
Resto ult isn't a nb skill.

Whats to stop a magplar using rapid regen + resto ult if needed with purge hot + utility and breath burst heal?

In fact if you was gonna go an 'ult healer' build then i'd go a mag warden.

    Bloodspawn/ troll king
    5x heavy tavas
    5x trans - Because utilility

Major heroism from warden projectile absorb
    Minor for heroic slash
    3 ult/s from tavas
3 ult/s from natural ult gen
    5 ult/s from vamp drain
    15 ult burst from bloodspawn
4 Ult burst from warden passive - which is the same as every other class passive ult gen.
    Decisive weapons.

Should allow a large uptime on both warden aoe ult which would be better in tight situation as it heals everyone and resto ult which would be better in less closed spaces because of its smart healing.

2x regen, 1x cost reduction, witchmother + argonian. Easy 2.5k~ magicka regen, all tri glyphs. Use of rapid regen + warden other heals + debuffs such as aoe defile etc... There we go a better healer than your nb...

Though its hard to beat breath spam.

If you don't know what Tava's does it grants 9 ult over 3 seconds when you Evade an attack-- Deceptive Predator, the morph of Bird of Prey buff in the Animal skill line, grants the user Evasion.

Might be time to re-visit the Ult Battery healer build I mentioned months ago for my MagTemplar.

well - i'm gonna group the coward's gear/fiord's legacy idea in with the time i was absolutely confident meridia's blessed armor/crest of cyrodiil was gonna be a great combo...

i forget sometimes that your own playstyle needs to mesh with your gear/build...i just couldn't get in to all that speed...and more specifically - all the running away from fights...just not my style...i don't mind being a little sneaky and slinking off when a battle isn't going in my favor - but - the whole "running away" all the time like your life depended on it - just wasn't going to work for me...

sooooo, great opportunity to do a little more "dress up" on my stam sorc...went with hawk's eye on my bow bar and sword singer on my 2H bar...

was kind of surprised to see the sword singer gear harder to come by than the hawk's eye gear...

also am now wearing 2 pieces of molag kena...it'll probably take me a little while to get used to and resource manage that 20% ability increase cost when the set procs...probably do a couple of public dungeons to get used to how it feels...

finally, i just wanted to say - thank god guild stores don't take credit...man, all this gear acquisition is seriously breaking the bank...

went ahead and filled out 30/30 slots on all three of my big trading guilds...lots more selling ahead of me to get back to having a comfortable stash of coin in my bank...

good news is - i think everyone is fairly well geared up now...of my 8 vet characters - 6 are now wearing 2 piece monster sets...

oh yeah - the viper/red mountain/velidreth combo i put on my stam dk absolutely melts stuff in pve land - loving it...unfortunately though - with only 22k health - can't really use him to tank anymore...he should be more than qualified now though for dps dungeon duty...

Finally got lv 50 on my MagWarden. Need about 25 or so more skill points, and passive unlocked then she'll be ready for PvP.

With impregnable armor / tavas , and 4 impen pieces she has 3400 crit resist, 22k phys/spell resist buffed. 22k(no battle spirit) health, 28k mag, 11k stam. 1k stam recovery buffed, 1,800 mag recovery buffed.

She can probably get up to 28k phy/spell resisting when blood spawn procs

four days left in the campaign...looks like the campaign will finish out in the same position as it was after about 10 days or so...

the campaign started off with a bunch of promise (read: EP was ahead for once :))...for a minute it also looked like DC might have a chance to come out on top...

the strength of AD's numbers particularly for the U.S. night time/early morning is really strong...heck, even in the U.S. primetime AD shows quite a bit of strength...

it would be more than interesting to see if there is any way for zos to reward factions for something else other than having sheer numbers...

oh well, it is was it is...and, chances are it will remain as such for the immediate future...

been a little busy lately with life, but, hopefully I'll have a chance to finish getting my 10th character to tier 3 prior to the end of the campaign...

been selling stuff like crazy, but, the campaign payout will definitely help me get back in to the black...

just as a note: man, that is one diligent "draft" system here on the forums, like every minute I get that "draft banner" covering what i'm trying to write...

what is this world coming to :o

I have had trouble logging in lately because of long queue times (>100) but I got in today. I had been testing out some light armor Julianos + Will Power + Grothdarr combo and I have to say it's pretty lethal. I used it in my first White Gold Tower completion (I don't run many dungeons). Total glass cannon, but what a cannon! The spears do a good amount of damage with a lot of penetration.

It was great to get back and get some people.

Long term AD emp has switched factions and this has led to a lot of toxic chat but the fighting other players part was still fun.

You know it! Talion the Mighty Magplar, with a face so heroic, it'll make your teeth hurt.

I finally got my Undaunted to 9 so I can get full Undaunted Mettle bonuses. Also, I really needed a light Grothdarr and lo and behold the Golden Vendor granted my wish. I have 5xLight, 1xHeavy, and 1xMedium. I know I should do a heavy chest piece but that Imperial light armor jerkin looks so good with the right colors. I finally got a chance to use my new Murder Mahogany (Kill a Grand Overlord) and that color brown looks perfect. I'm going sub-optimal for style purposes.
