RNG improvement suggestion. 10 bad traits covert to 1 good trait

What do you guys think?

Lets say you are running the dungeon for 10 times and you get 10 set pieces with a wrong trait. Now you have the option to take all the set pieces to the crafting station and combine them into 1 set piece with the right trait? With any appropriate cost of gold or some other regend?

@ZOS_RichLambert , @ZOS_GinaBruno

I assume it is for the same set & piece. What happens to the enchantment?

yeh. for example. I am farming for Amberplasm Chest In impen. And I know the Talos cursed me and I am only getting well fitted and sturdy or anything else but impen. All I need to do is farm Amber Chest Pices from ROM ... once I have 10 (whatever amount is appropriate) Then i can covert it at the crafting station.

I would also be super happy to pay for a Kuta if the enchantment is gone.. I don't care I would rather pay 50k gold then farm the set for hours...

Not much use...you have any idea how many item slots you will use up saving 10 BSW swords while waiting to get whatever BiS trait for them is next patch? No thanks, my inventory space is already non-existant

Hmm, I like this idea of smashing down "junk" loot and using the components to make the loot of choice... "trait cycle" convert 15 pieces of trait gear to a single piece of gear with a select trait.

    screw RNG

That would not work for the obvious reason that your inventory would get polluted with all kinds of the useless set parts for different reasons.

To make your suggestion work in practise:

    (1) You would need to be able to convert (e.g. by deconstructing them in crafting station) those set parts to some kind of stackable resource which will go to crafting bag (e.g. tokens or set essences).
    (2) Make different token types for different content: 12-man trials tokens, 4-man group dungeons tokens, one man trial tokens.
    (3) To convert set piece to your desired trait in crafting station you would now need piece of that set (e.g. sword of willpower) and specified amount of tokens for that set type part (e.g 100 4-man group dungeon tokens for willpower sword).

I bet they didn't say who it would be fun and interesting for though, did they?

Because being a GM watching all the moffets try and try and fail and lament could be fun and interesting for some.

Not for we moffets, of course.

    But that probably isn't relevant.

With the new changes to traits sharpened, infused, nirnhoned, and precise will have near the same damage output with group composition and your build having more of an influence one which is best from a min-max perspective. Decisive, defending(not so much), training, powered are all niche traits and have their use.

Ten inventory spots are worth quite a bit more then this.

Especially if you have to hold a bunch of crap in your inventory until you get ten of them

Oh ok. I never really thought armor traits were too bad. each trait has its use in certain situations. Even prosperous had its use, though most people overlook it, and there were better changes that could have been made while keeping it non-combat related. The only one i found redundant is nirn because it doesn't give enough of a benefit over reinforced to be such a rare trait stone. it should do something else entirely imo.

As far as general rng goes, i never found it too bad mainly because I'm of the opinion it SHOULD be hard to min-max. The endless rng grind most people go about are just because a) their favorite streamer said to use all divines/impen or whatever or b) they are actually min-maxers for end game content. The former get the grind because they can't think outside the box, and the latter should understand that in any mmo, if u want to min-max you will inevitably have to do a good bit of grinding.

Seriously, though U15 is looking like 5 piece Julianos/Hundings/Seducers(healers)/Kags + Monster set + 4 pc dropped set including jewellry dependent on build. Every build will have a totally different recommendation on dropped.

Edit: oops, hit quote there instead of edit. Sorry 'bout that.

Yea thats the only thing that's pretty much necessary, and that's mostly because of crit meta. Impregnable helps a bit with not having to run impen but you'd miss out on another, potentially, more specialised 5 piece. CP is also another good way to get crit resist but if you run in no cp you're out of luck. Wish I could say it might get better but with HOTR the crit meta is just getting reinforced, crit percentage across the board will get higher.
