Have you seen pts ? This issue has been somewhat resolved.

I assume it is for the same set & piece. What happens to the enchantment?

That would not work for the obvious reason that your inventory would get polluted with all kinds of the useless set parts for different reasons.
To make your suggestion work in practise:
(1) You would need to be able to convert (e.g. by deconstructing them in crafting station) those set parts to some kind of stackable resource which will go to crafting bag (e.g. tokens or set essences).
(2) Make different token types for different content: 12-man trials tokens, 4-man group dungeons tokens, one man trial tokens.
(3) To convert set piece to your desired trait in crafting station you would now need piece of that set (e.g. sword of willpower) and specified amount of tokens for that set type part (e.g 100 4-man group dungeon tokens for willpower sword).
What do you guys think?
Lets say you are running the dungeon for 10 times and you get 10 set pieces with a wrong trait. Now you have the option to take all the set pieces to the crafting station and combine them into 1 set piece with the right trait? With any appropriate cost of gold or some other regend?

Remember one of the zosers said that random loot will be fun and interesting? I am failing to understand that comment.

With the new changes to traits sharpened, infused, nirnhoned, and precise will have near the same damage output with group composition and your build having more of an influence one which is best from a min-max perspective. Decisive, defending(not so much), training, powered are all niche traits and have their use.

I was talking about amour and weapon traits.

Oh ok. I never really thought armor traits were too bad. each trait has its use in certain situations. Even prosperous had its use, though most people overlook it, and there were better changes that could have been made while keeping it non-combat related. The only one i found redundant is nirn because it doesn't give enough of a benefit over reinforced to be such a rare trait stone. it should do something else entirely imo.
As far as general rng goes, i never found it too bad mainly because I'm of the opinion it SHOULD be hard to min-max. The endless rng grind most people go about are just because a) their favorite streamer said to use all divines/impen or whatever or b) they are actually min-maxers for end game content. The former get the grind because they can't think outside the box, and the latter should understand that in any mmo, if u want to min-max you will inevitably have to do a good bit of grinding.

Yeh agree with you but i am 100% i need impen for pvp. Aaand i cant take my infused and divine pieces because i get destroyed. I am over 100 runs now... no luck
