One thing that bothers me though is that ZOS didn't offer at least 1 extra slot for free considering that they launched a new class in the Warden, kind of a cheap move in my book.

By comparison, LoTRO's paid-for expansion will include a character slot because there's a new race but you'll have to pay more (either by way of a more expensive edition of the expansion or by waiting until they appear in the cash shop) for both the new race and the character slot. Neither is included in the $40 standard edition of the expansion.0 -
