The only mechanics I do not really like is anything that randomly targets a player and renders them more or less useless (like the sap) and any mechanic that unavoidably and quickly drains resources like the totems in vRoM. One shot mechanics/aoe that I have to dodge or avoid is kind of fun, running around with heavy attack being my only available action is lame.
I want a medium between face roll and mazzatun
Because there is no inbetween on this game.
Most players face roll content then go into these dungeons and get rekt. They nerfed wgt and icp too much they would of been a great medium. But this game is pretty much two difficulties
Maelstrom normal
Vet maelstrom
Needs to be changed. Amp it up slowly.
If someone wants "easy and enjoyable" dungeons, just do the normal mode for the gods sake!
Vet is meant to be hard.
I have enough of having like 15+ vet dungeons in the game (vanilla ones) that are almost no different compared to their normal modes, while nothing remains of vWGT and vICP but the dead shadows of their former glory.
Only vCoS and vRoM are still somewhat challenging and fun.
Yes, but if you are pugging it's a real nightmare.
Not all veteran dungeons are meant to be pug-able. Just as I said, you already have 15+ pug-friendly vet dungeons in the game while experienced players have only 2 dungeons that remain interesting and challenging to them.

Yes, or have an separate tab for them. Worst is the normal DLC dungeons with no level requirements so a level 10 get Wayrest sewer 1 and some other easy dungeons, then ROM and IPC who is almost as hard as veteran wayrest 1.If someone wants "easy and enjoyable" dungeons, just do the normal mode for the gods sake!

Then they should remove them from LFG or at least the random selection of LFG

The totem is just a DPS test. As for it not being avoidable...thats not entirely true. It tethers and drains the closest person first, then the next closest, etc. If the tank is closest the totem isnt a problem at all, or if the tank has warhorn slotted, that helps as well. You can avoid being tethered technically if you are far enough away from the totem, it wont tether you until you get close enough....but if you are already tethered you can never get far enough away to break the tether. The hist sap is an annoying mechanic, but its one that just takes you out of action for only a few seconds, not that big a deal.
