It exports your character data and uploads it to the database automatically (as opposed to a manual entry), so afaik it isn't just "saying how many points you have".

Really? So it is linked to the servers? Last time I looked it was not representing the correct amount for some people. Does it update itself regularly? What is the exact process you have to go through? I mean I have over 26k but am not on there. It only pulls the data from the people that allow it to or sign up on the site?

You have to have the ESO Database Export addon and an account on the site, and set it up to sync. It updates... maybe every day? I haven't really been paying attention, but it's going off of your character data.

Ahhh ok thanks. Interesting process, would love to see an actual permanent leaderboard (that never resets) in game though. My computer can barely handle this game as is with the necessary addons I already have.

Missing a bunch of PVP/battlegrounds stuff, 4 style motifs (SOTH/Buoyant Armiger/Militant Ordinator), only own one mansion, every vHOF achievement, a bunch of COS achievements and a couple miscellaneous ones like flawless (working on it!) and the stupid IC grindfest ones.

Here's mine - just recently crossed the 26k mark. Missing the vast majority of PvP achievements as I've not even touched Battlegrounds yet and I'm only AvA rank 25.

As has been mentioned previously, ESO-Database.com is a really good place for tracking achievements, but there are of course a lot of people that haven't linked their accounts and it's also not possible to use as a PS4 or Xbox player sadly.

if only some achievement s were account wide. i dont have a main that has accomplished everything, rather i have a crafter, a tank, a thief, an alchemist, a quester, etc, etc- 12 toons who each have personas and skills I've given them- each cleared their own zones and some specialties. so one guys an assassin and another a thief- but not both. i think the achievement thing punishes those that like to have alts. but cool nevertheless that you guys have done that much in the game.

You don't "write" how many points you have. The program reads it directly from the saved files of your addons. What would be the point of this tool if it was manual?

It seems right to reward players who do everything on one character -- that takes a certain kind of dedication. A system that treats players who do it all on one character the same as those of us who spread our time across multiple characters seems like it's failing to track something.

That said, players who get the same number of achievements but spread out across different characters spend just as much time, if not more, on those achievements. It would be good to acknowledge this by adding a Total Account Achievements page, without granting individual characters achievements earned on another character. This would leave those who achieve it all on one character with their special status, but it would give the rest of us an equally juicy number to look at.

Yea @rhapsodious pointed that out earlier in the thread. I did not know how your site worked and was very curious, thank you for clarifying. I wish @ZOS had something along the lines of what your website does, without the requirement of addons. Xbox and PS4 players are not able to register. Pretty sweet statistics though.

You sir have waaaaaay too much salt in your current diet. It is currently seeping through your fingers and coating your keyboard with sodium chloride. Achievements are not meaningless at all. They show that a person has attained a large amount of skill with a certain character and has also put in a ton of hours into completing various tasks all around tamriel. That is pretty sad you have seen people pay for emp and flawless, which would only be plausible if someone actually logged into another players account to complete vma... Which in all honesty is completely insane, I would never let anyone even think about knowing my account info... One could also argue this day in age if you cannot get flawless in vma, which was released about 21 months ago, you are pretty bad. Honestly vma is such a breeze for any half decent player now. As far as emps and grand overlords with double ap events, I don't really care? LOL do you think 50 or 100 points makes a big difference when you get past 26k+? The fact is getting over 25-27k points requires a good amount of skill along with 100s of hours on a single character... If your position is that you think achievements are meaningless because people can get help with attaining certain achievements, then that is fine. Step back and look at the big picture, you don't have many points on your main and you are not happy about it. Your complaint has been heard, and is most likely going to be disagreed with by all.

Well i supposed meaningless is too harsh, but the fact still remains that i personally know several players that paid for several achievements. I have 25,400 or so and i am missing all battlegrounds and 90% of housing and the new trail (level 25 AvA) and i am not even trying, still missing motives from Shadows of the Hist as well. If i get them okay, if not, no problem still okay, but i will never pay for something i am supposed to work hard for, to allow someone else to do it for me.

Getting help is one thing, like getting certain vet dungeon achievements or letting you run outside in vMOL to get the shadows is understandable, but to pay for *** is silly. That is the point of an ACHIEVEMENT to actually work on getting a specific thing done is it not?
