So... I've been starting to farm myself an Armiger. Needless to say, it's not going very well.
I've started doing this at Ledgerdmain Rank 4. Now I'm almost at rank 7. I haven't picked or stolen anything that wasn't a random chest on Vvardenfell, I have the passive, I have the achievement.

Total number of motifs looted: Zero.

    It's extremely low. I spent like 4 hours one night farming chests in Vvardenfell, then repeated that a couple times a week for the past few weeks, but finally randomly got one in a vHoF chest lol. Only one I've gotten so far.

    I only try farming them late at night/off peak times so I can hit many chests per time spent.

    I have found zero and wasted 3 nights around 9 hours. Sucking the enjoyment out of the game mindlessly farming chests.

    It's unfarmable with current drop rate. I myself am ignoring it completely.

    It's completely funny because Viridian Dust drops so often in contrast. I don't get why things always need to be super rare. Obviously a Mercenary style handout isn't great either, but a middle ground would be nice.

    For the rates at which they are dropping I think they need to change the rarity indicator on the motif chapters from Epic to Legendary, that or drop the whole book in one go and be done with it. This is a maddening farm, one of the worst in the game.

    Its very low. And scu people who just unlock chests and dont loot them make farming them even more annoying.
    I tried to farm it a few times, but all I found was a bunch of unlocked chests with 1 Palladium or rubedite gauntlets of stamina.
    I found a few pieces randomly, but they're not really farmable due to scarcity of chests and people being jerks.

    Been in Morrowind since release, opened probably 200 chests, got only 1 motif myself. And yes, I run around with Treasure hunter.

    Saw someone selling shoulders for no less than 300k, worst thing is, it might actually sell considering how rare those motifs are.

    Yeah I think it doesnt let them respawn normally... I found a bunch of those unlocked chests in a row, they didnt despawn.
    Its like finding worms instead of columbine, but the motifs are more rare than flowers, so its much more irritating.

    I have every motif apart from BA and I haven't seen an increased chance.
    It's just a numbers game.
    The treasure hunter only increases the quality of items to purple instead of blue and not better content

    Not one motif after chest hunting for days and during my questing in Morrowind. At least 300 chests must have been opened also during HOF runs. I gave up. will buy in once in crownstore if it's around 1500 crowns. Else I don't want it. Who wears crafted sets anyway.
