Synergies became much harder to activate.

So lately I'm finding myself that I need to stop for like 1-2 seconds just to see that "Press button X to activate synergy" message. Sometimes when I press it nothing even happens, like you miss it. It wasn't the same before 14 patch, I started to feel it since patch release and now I'm sure. You need to focus on synergy now to activate it. Like running after orb for 1-2 seconds to synch with synergy.

@ZOS_GinaBruno I think what is happening is that ZoS coding their game totally forgetting about ping. People on EU server playing with 150-300 ping on average. You can't code message to be interrupted with any action. I see synergy as very important part of teamwork and anyone feeling good when one of the teammates activating their synergies. Those orbs are very expensive and one who is casting them is doing his best to help his team. Too bad that 90% of time it will go to waste only due DD casting attacks like crazy and can't even pickup that orb between attacks due to mechanics. He has to halt, focus himself on picking up the orb (maybe even run after it) and only then take it. The situation with DK's talons is even worse, I barely succeed to activate it even when I'm really trying to.

    It maybe that someone else has activated the Synergy, it seems that way for me. But I have noticed some lag in combat commands since the last update where things don't seem to fire like they should, synergies not being the only thing. There are times I can't even get Force Pulse to fire.

    However, for those Orbs your talking about, not a Synergy I would even try to fire in the first place. Sure, I am trying to work with synergy to the group and all, but it is within the framework of how I do things. Stopping my rotations and movements to chase something down is not going to happen on the best of occasions.

    Been like this for quite some time, in my experience. For some reason, prior to even One Tamriel they decided synergies should be harder to activate in an MMO. Which is group content. Where I'd think you'd want to ENCOURAGE players to work together and not frustrate them while trying to be a good teammate.

    Reviving has become harder too. The prompt will come up but it still won't revive if you're too far away, but it can be hard to find them with enemy corpses and AoEs on the ground. Often times the dead will be asked to say something so they can be located.

    As far as synergies, it seems like they just have a really small hit box, which seems silly since you're not going to accidently activate a synergy. I'm sure on PC they have it bound to it's own key and on console you have to press two buttons at once.

    Synergies have been an issue since they reduced the size of area it could be used. It is especially obvious with shards and more so with orbs.

    Heck, often with orbs you get the synergy when it's behind you but not right in front of you which is what would be expected.

    I think it's something that Zos cannot figure out and well, choose to not revert his synergies work or even go for a middle point between how it was and how it is now.

    One thing to note. Conpanies like Zos have been facing stronger competition for creative talent as other industries have been hiring the same talent to create and build very polished interactables in areas from online training to what the imagination can conceive.

    Yes, most of the times I get synergy pop up and I think myself to have well above average reactions but when I have started to move my little finger to the synergy button it is already gone, like 0.3s time to hit it. With orbs I hardly care anymore I am not chasing them. But with shards or sorcery lightning thing the prompt usually come back again after a few sec. So something is off

    Yes ive experienced this a long time. Its really stupid and usually results in missed synergies attempts and loss of dps because youre sitting there edging back and forth, forward and back, trying to get the synergy to reappear =__= usually it disappears when im NOT EVEN MOVING so i have no idea what is up.

    Great minds think alike I was thinking of making a thread like this today.

    There seems to be a significant latency in synergies that aren't ground based. I had 1 or 2 secs to press synery for radiant aura. Just not enough time . So I suggest increase in the timer to compensate for them. Nothing much, but maybe like 5secs more of if I am greedy 8 secs.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno how long are we suppose to have to use synergies like bone shield and aggro fire?

    Same issue here and with orbs its especially annoying as by the time it actually works, the orb is way past the intended target.

    Also standing right next to downers and spamming rez over and over and it doing nothing at all except leaving you open to attack is very, very poor. Especially with them saying why aren't you rezin me? We'll I'm tryin sweetheart, but the game obviously hates us both :P

    For me they've always been difficult to "catch", especially the orbs! Everytime I'm starting to run like a headless chicken trying to activate them, instead of doing my job (DD) :D

    I haven't seen much difference in synergies before and after Morrowind, but still something could be done to make our life easier with activating them.

    Bone shield? Agro? I only succed to press it maybe 10% of the time. I think you must be atleast 10 times vMA flawless conqurer to hit these synergies within that 0.4 seconds message

    There is an easy fix. Don't acknowledge their existence. Problem solved.

    I hate how synergies work currently... Let alone the old bug that if you're low/out of magicka, you can't acivate synergies at all - you just keep hearing sound as if you're trying to use ability and don't have enough resource :/ I submitted it as bug many many month ago. Still bugged.

    I also think synergies need to be activated automatically by nearby allies, without need to press X button.

    If any other member of the team has the 'press X to activate synergy' on their screen, even if they are not activating it, but just 'seeing' this message, it means any other member of the group wont see it, and obviously wont be able to activate the synergy... That's why sometimes these synergies are so dodgy and hard to catch. I guess the message to activate synergy is jumping on everyone's screen like crazy while they look at the orb/spear/talons/whatever skill with synergy to activate.

    Mix it with a bit of lag, the synergy hitting box being small and moving and the heat of the combat trying to avoid Aoe's etc... there you go, very elussive synergies!
