I'm a tank so i enjoy short queue times, but even i notice the bugs more and more.
Right now, groups are forming every 5 seconds and disband 1 second later and this keep continuing until i leave the queue when i'm pretty sure the finder bugged out complety after 5 minutes.

Maybe hire some new coders and progammers after making millions with morrowind?

ZOS needs to bring in somebody who can actually get thier grouping tool to work. They have struggled with it for far too long, and it is clear that thier current staff isn't capable of getting the job done.

did an serie of randoms with pre made group and it worked better than before .
It messed a bit but we did not have to travel to dungeon.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Yesterday I tried to queue for my pledge dungeons as a healer. First one popped immediately which is how it usually works and got it completed. Queued for the remaining two, sat in the queue for 30 minutes which has never happened before. I logged completely out and back in, queued again sat for 45 minutes before it started just spamming messages that someone declined the queue over and over again without once receiving the ready check.

I finally gave up on it and just didn't bother with my last two dungeons for the night.

I hear you.. theres something wrong with Dungeon Finder..
I queued yesterday as healer for White Gold Tower, after waiting for 25 minutes I left queue.. queued again as healer for white gold tower and got a group instantly.... this is messed up.

It continues to amuse me that they just can't seem to get this thing to work after not even having one for what, a year, after launch. It's a basic function of every MMO and the simplest rode for players to develop and meet other players to build contacts in game and advance socially yet it's continuing lack of function breaks down this social mobility system from both ends. Better players just ignore it and those learning get frustrated and realize they are really playing a single player game and should go back to questing.

I suspect they may have some deep seeded code issues stemming from laying off basically everyone in September of the first year of the game. Me thinks maybe they have whole sections of code where either the devs were layed off or the code was outsourced and they just can't seem to untangle the spagetti strings.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

Spent 1.5 hours in the que for one of the daily dungeons.

    Logged out.

This is only the second time I've tried to use the tool but after hanging around waiting for that long...meh.

It's never worked so maybe it's just that simple (meaning some parts worked but this is the second tool since release)

I feel like there's a -perception- that it doesn't work because it's so opaque.
There have been days where I wait for hours, or there are days like this weekend where I only waited ten minutes (on DPS) for multiple runs.

If they would just implement a feature that showed you how many Tank, Healer, DPS currently queued in front of you, folks would be able to see that the reason they can't get a group is that there are 600 DPS in the queue, 15 Healers, and 0 Tanks.

The finder can't build groups without the right pieces.

I am always wondering if the LFG tool is "not working" because it is broken, or it is only not working for DDs, as everyone quees as a DD

I agree. But then I have stories like this.

My gf and I queue up as dps. After a bit we pop. In we go to a dungeon with a tank and a healer. Healer drops right away. We requeue. 30 minutes later we are still waiting for a healer. I know healers are hard to come by! But wait! At around 45 minutes or so we get a replacement healer! And the first thing he says to us? Wow! Must be really short on tanks Ive been in the queue for over an hour. I was about to log off.

I mean I get it. Yes there can be cases where you end up waiting because dumb luck. But then Ive seen to many cases with odd things like above, where it isn't all just missing part of the trinity. Everyone was there. The finder just couldn't put the parts together for some reason.

I really love the group finder tools in FF14. I knew exactly which role were we waiting for, and there's a chat room sort of function that makes forming raid groups so easy.

I took them for granted. Now they are gone I miss them so much.

I'm not saying the thing never glitches... I'm just saying that I don't think it's quite as bad as people are making it out to be. I think that, more often than not, and for most players, it works fine and it's simply the same class imbalance the plagues every game like this causing the same delays you find in every game like this.

When I played WoW it was the same way.
Queue as Tank; find a group in less than a minute.
Queue as healer; find a group in less than five minutes.
Queue as DPS; turn up the volume and take a nap, hope the chime wakes me up when it pops.

    It's not that either.
Human behavior as it works.....people have habits adverse to a system like this and then some platforms have better work arounds outside of the game.

Essentially as I've wrote in another post.
Developers need to design platform specific opportunities when ch align to those native Vr features.

If that's too much to keep up with on any ongoing basis....don't make the game for that platform.

The ZOS developers should consider ....the LFG finder for Xbox live for xbox.
For PC maybe some of the guild site apps or ....imagine this...enable add-on opportunities.

For PS4....if the social PSN doesn't have something, develop something for that community.

People will use what works and what they are familiar with but if they have a bad experience or confusing interaction early on.....they are less likely to try again. So being these different tools never work consistently for a long period of time, one of the largest issues is getting peopleto use it

I havent had a good queue with it yet. tried it two days ago (saturday night around 8pm) for specific queue for that day's pledges. Queued as healer with a tank friend. it took OVER TWO HOURS to get a match. When we got one, we performed ready check. Stuck in "squad forming" for over 10 minutes. Then another ready check, then option to port into dungeon. Hit "Yes" to port. Nothing happened for another half hour. We gave up and disbanded squad and went to bed.

This happened several times for me. I've given up.

When I solo queue as a healer I tend to get a group in under 3 minutes with no glitches. Queuing as a group is buggy as all hell tho.

No, it has been broken for all, for some weird reason also pre formed 4 man groups.
This part actually worked better now we was able to enter with finder.
The putting in front of queue was broken so no it tires to add new players from queue.
Partial groups has been broken all the time.
This is for groups or me queuing as healer.

Add DD waiting time on top, add that the ready message is easy to miss if in menus.

Forgive me, but I'm not seeing how what you just wrote addresses what I wrote.

Are you saying is that the reason it doesn't seem to work is because people aren't using it? And the reason they aren't using it is because it's confusing? I don't see how designing different finders for different platforms addresses or corrects the class imbalance I pointed out.

Are you saying there -is- no class imbalance?

It's extremely hit or miss for me. Leaving the issue of having a group that can actually complete the content aside for now, I can que up on one weeknight and have a 20-30 minute wait as a dps, and another weeknight i might wait 1.5 hours.

It's extremely inconsistent, which leads me to believe it is bugged in some way or another. I do typically only have to wait 25, 35 minutes tops though, and that time is much lower on the weekends when I do most of my queing anyway.
