One house, Old Mistveil Manor. Decent enough size, decent look and that nord Rift feel, good for my Pact main toon, to chill there at the end of the day :p I put all my achievements there nicely. Im happy with it, but thats about it for me, I wont be spending another dime on housing. Got the mistveil and im a very happy simple soul.

Must say Im surprised by the results so far on the poll. First I didn't think so many weren't interested in houses, then I also didn't know so many had such ridiculous amounts of gold able to afford all the more expensive houses. Not saying Im poor, Im about the average player gold wise. But it has to be a very good house for me to basically spend every coin I got on it.
my single biggest frustration with housing has actually been almost entirely personal - they just didn't build a home in the places I wanted one...

@phermitgb That I can agree with. Id sink everything I have into an awesome Imperial house in Cyrodiil. Like idk a villa by the gold coast outside Anvil, a mansion by Cheydinhal. But I can understand considering the state of Cyrodiil the lack of houses there. Blasted Daedra blew them all up. x.x

Nope, what's the point of a home when the whole game is centred round exploring, questing & venturing..

Initially only had the free 3. Had saved up for Hunding's since first knew about it so got that. Then got Snugpod for easy AD porting; same reason got Flaming Nix for EP. And then Gardener in Wayrest. And then Mistveil......and have my eye on one in Morrowind.

More fun than I thought they would initially be. Love being creative with platforms & stone slabs to get access to various places not immediately obvious & creating other structures.

Sadly have noticed that I now look at places when out & about and think about how could replicate.

There are some people who had more than enough gold to buy all 3 manors on day 1, and furnish them. (And furnishings/blueprints were crazy expensive at first.) I think that's mainly people who focus on trading, and farming stuff to sell.

Then there's other people who farmed and/or saved up because they really wanted one, either because they liked it or just because they wanted the biggest/most expensive house or wanted the title. Oh and some people had unused crowns from subscribing and/or were willing and able to spend real money to get them.

I'm guessing ZOS had plenty of data on players available gold/crowns and willingness to spend when they created housing. I think they did a good job of offering a range of prices to suit everyone. The only problem is if you're one of the people who really wants a house that costs far more than you normally have. But that was me and I managed to save up the gold in a few months.

Where are the options? like 1) Saving for large house 2) Waiting for better houses to be released

I can afford 1.5mil house but waiting for something that's better. So far the new lodge in Morrowind looks good but could be better.

Four now, counting the one in Vivec. I have all the free homes, purely for the convenience of the teleport facility. That's all I'll ever need, because without being able to store things in my houses they're otherwise useless to me. No way will I waste time furnishing them - I'm not into playing doll's house. :D

i got the rosy lion, i was poor so i bought the Cyrodiilic Jungle House mostly just for a place to have a target skeleton but i had fun furnishing it and inviting people over, the location is really nice and i like the junglist vibes.

Got a bit more gold so i grabbed Domus Phrasticus for the PvP RP of it, its a great house and i like watching the sunset over aetherian archive. There is not much space for dueling though so i think i will buy Hundings Palatial Hall as a guild house later in the week when i get the funds, need to check out how much room there is for duels beach parties first.

Housing needs a bit more functionality and it would be fun to have more interaction with objects. Saying that I got 2 target dummies, all the craft stations and a ton of lore books all in one place that i had fun moulding to my own style.

Im the third option. The kind of player who wants the awesome houses, but just doesn't have that much gold. xD I look at the houses, the once I want are all around or above 1 000 000, the once I can afford...meh. The one small house, Captain Margaux's Place in Daggerfall is a box, literally. One room, one very square room, nope. Not putting like 56k on that.

Housing sucks in this game. I was very disappointed and it seems to be getting worse with mundus stones as crown shop only and at 4k each it's ridiculous and I'm glad I didn't invest in the housing at all.

If I want housing I'll go back to EQ2, Rift or WildStar where it's at least much better and actually useful/functional. This housing system is a joke and until they at least add storage I won't go near it.

Yeah I really do wish they didn't have real $ exclusive purchases they should have combined them in game for gold tbh, that's the only thing I dislike about the whole housing but for the most part it reminds me of Swg having an Z axis I can place anything I want anywhere unlike Swtor with hook system X,Y.

I got Hunding Palatial hall, I think it was good value. Nice beach, good inside. https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/hundings-palatial-hall/

It was definitely worth the time previewing them in game, videos are good, but no substitute.

This is my favorite one. It would be the one I get if/when I can use it for storage of my armor sets.

Actually, there were house and decorating player made mods for TES3 Morrowind, well before Oblivion.

Also the way Morrowind's justice system worked it was entirely possible to simply move into an "unused" house - only the owner would object so if they weren't around there was no problem.

One of the early fighters guild quests involves killing an orc who lives in Balmora so I always did that early on and then moved into their house. Bit morbid maybe, but it worked. Certainly better than carrying my book collection everywhere with me.

I did this too. I enjoyed the ability to temporarily store things in vacant homes or bodies.

I have 1 house - Dominus Phactus (I believe this is correct name) - 300k worth Imperial house in the Craglorn. And a 2 free rooms, but it's not counted here.
Don't think I need bigger one, mostly even smaller, like 70k Imperial house in Malabal Tor.

Can't even imagine what owners of the stadiums (1kk-3kk worth) are doing in their houses - maybe some roleplay events?

I still see RPers around here and there outside of housing. I'd imagine if you get in an RP guild, you can live out your fantasies with them. In your own home. Just become part of a new community of RPers.

Voted wrong... Well, manor is a home, so I have one. I can't say I like any house to the point "omg, this place is awesome, I really want it", including crown store exclusives. But I had to choose, and Ebonheart Chateau is house which overall pleases me the most.

      Screenshot_20170426_223839.jpg

I still think this content is useless and was made just to force people to grind more and buy more things from crown store, but awful truth - there was no other new content at all :/ Game was already boring, nothing to do except killing same mobs and exploring same maps, doing same dailies... I resisted housing 1month and 4 days since it's release :D For now I have useless manor, wasted more than 5 millions gold (price of house itself + decorations) on it. I would never believe it if in February somebody told me all I will care about in game is how many trophies I can place in my house :/

Now with all the nerfs which make me not want to do something serious, and still no new content (for me), I find myself thinking about other manors and some other houses :|

No additional space, no crafting writs and daily quest boards, harsh item limits when decorating a house, no ability to place alchemy flowers and fishing spawns in house, no ability to place my other characters inside a house so I can see them all together, no ability to place different monsters like decorations (trophies do not count, they are mostly pathetic shadow of original monster).

House has some positive things though :D My dye station placement is perfect - light sources turned out to be amazing. Since I bought it, I no longer visit dye stations anywhere else. Target skeleton is also nice. I can place crafting stations how I like.
And I can stand near my mounts, at least something makes it feel like home...

currently housing is not that desireable to me. There could be so many additions to make it an awesome feature of eso much like other mmos have done. Take a look at this thread I had some time ago and add any comments/suggestions. Thanks
