Has the warden class been made significantly weak because of ppl complaints ???

So much rage, forum fires, even notable players like Deltia quitting ...do you think all for naught ??
Now most of the players who ACTUALLY play Morrowind "chapter"agree that Wardens are far from OP...in fact they are pretty nerfed lot.

Is it because ZOS feared that a buffed up warden will be flamed as "P2W" ??

Said it in a number of threads already ... the Warden wasn't designed for a pure DPS role.

Once players comprehend that (and find a role for it) it's fine.

My warden isn't weak, but the warden does come with a lot of weak skills. You just have to find the skills that aren't weak and use those.
I do think ZOS was afraid of making them be too over-powered, because they knew people would be screaming "PAY TO WIN!!!" I mean Jesus, people were screaming that before it was released, before they even knew anything about the class. Pretty much any new class we get will be a little underpowered for that reason ... ZOS doesn't want people to be yelling that anything is "pay-to-win," even though people will yell it anyway, regardless.

ZOS just doesn't know how to balance their classes. They probably thought Warden was fine. They were putrid on the PTS. They're a bit better now after the buffs to their passives, but still need more. I'm sure the class will be up to par with everyone else eventually.

If you play a lot of classes like I do, you realize they all feel weaker then before. Warden also feels lackluster if you played it. It feels like a class that does many things but doesn't have one strong point.

I think ZOS' approach to nerf all classes to make them balanced was not a good idea. Instead they should have buffed them all to the strongest class there was, that way no one has to feel weak.

There's probably a hybrid build meta somewhere in there, we just haven't figured it out yet.

I've been leveling my Warden without spending any attribute or champion points - just because (or maybe because I haven't decided whether to go mag or stam and because CP tree looks pretty pointless to me now).

Even then, I can tank, heal and do modest damage all at once. It's not an easy class to play, but that doesn't mean it's underpowered.

People tend to judge a class only taking DPS in consideration. The Warden might not be the best DPS class, nor are DK's... however they have very good supporting skills. Best tanks are usually DK's, best healers are usually templars (notice i say 'usually' cause you can do totally fine with other classes too...).

So, maybe the warden is not the best killing machine, but has very nice supporting skills... As I see it, it's kind of a hybrid between a tank and a healer, that in adition can put some dps, so it's not 'significantly weak'. This could be opened to discussion since 'hybrid' in this game doesnt really work for end game stuff. You better stick to the classic 'pure dps', 'pure healing' or 'pure DD' if you want to take part on most group content.

Anyway, even if people would have been given the best DPS class with morrowind, they would still complain about whatever, people always find a reason for complaining, thats how forums work. Also Zenimax has been well known for not being the best listener to their community, so I dont think the Warden is the result of all complaints.

That said, i cant find any of the poll options working for me...

Magwarden dps is just absolutely trash tier. They are really extremely fun to play in pvp though so I'm not complaining.

The Warden was originally meant as a Defensive Spellcaster before the class got scrapped during beta. And now that it's brought back, ZOS once again went this way. They even promoted the class to be a great off-tank or off-healer, a role that it's really great at (Support class)

Idc that the class has low DPS. As long as it remains a great healer or tank, I'm happy with it

Okay i haven't played warden but from what i have seen it just seemed like a boring class to me. Zos was like hey lets add this wooow its cool hey lets add some healing and some more random stuff because we want to make something "unique" and warden was made... please correct me if im wrong im just saying based on what i have seen

also those people who think stamwarden is fine, keep in mind all stam builds' abilities are non class ability so...

But DKs are a viable DPS class. Wardens aren't.

Support skills are irrelevant in the analysis since you need to specialize in this game to be effective. There is no room for support skills in a DPS build (unless they serve a dual function).

The thing is that every class needs to be viable in every role in ESO. Not optimal, just viable.

Ragekids have been wrong from the very first moment, and now they are too emberassed by their own misjudgement to accept it.

Wardens are not 'that' weak to not be considered viable... Unless you are talking about super squeezed raiding environment to pull good scores on trials. Where in my opinion DK's are not viable either.

I think the wardens were mainly to be a support class and not really op in any one specific role. I may be wrong, as people often can be from time to time, but I feel like the warden is ESO's idea of a bard - support and not uber strong at any specific role.

Well, Morrowind screwed up every class.

Although, I was a bit disappointed after 2 rls told me something like "why the hell would we take a magwarden with 26k dps, when we can have 40k dps sorc? 40$ for a garbage class isn't the best deal I had in my life.

will still take a little more time to figure out optimal use cases and builds, will still take quite a bit of time until people learn to use it in the ideal way. maybe it won't be possible this path to build ideal pve dps builds (maybe it will, but i think lookign for ideal skills + items + rotation is rather easy compared to ideal pvp use-cases so I'm not too sure we'll see much better warden dps in the near future. but that's hardly the entire game. and perfect pvp play takes some time

So far from my own experience, the warden feels like a support class as opposed to a pure damage dealer.
Was running a dungeon, all of us DDs and I found myself healing, shielding and dealing decent damage when it mattered most. The survivability of the stamina warden I was using was very good.
