Has the warden class been made significantly weak because of ppl complaints ???

Neither of the above. It was simply bad design in the beginning that didn't make it to work in the end.

I think what a lot of people are running into is that the meta for ESO has never had a utility class at its disposal. In EQ, back in the day, a few of the classes were utility or tech classes that were not particularly good at anything but they served niche roles that made them essential.
Enchanters for their CC and mana regen
Bards for their dps and utility buffs

ESO has had no access to a utility class, so there hasnt been a niche made for them yet. I suspect, given time, Wardens will find their role in the meta precisely as ZoS presented them, as a support role either through the buffs they can provide, the extra healing or protection, or as off tanks.
This doesnt make them bad or good, they just dont have a place yet. Give things time to settle down and I would be surprised if Wardens didnt find a solid place for themselves in more competitive play.

As far as solo/PvE play, I am really enjoying my hybrid warden so far. It is slower of course, but as I play and fine tune what works and what doesnt, I find it is an enjoyable, versatile class that is capable of just about anything, albeit lower dps means longer fights, but sustain has yet to be a problem for me, and I am not the kind of person who needs things to be done immediately or not at all.

I assume you're talking about pve...I have no idea.

But in battlegrounds I've come up against a number of wardens, both mag and stam.

If the player knows what they're doing wardens in pvp are VERY strong.

I have mixed feelings about the Magden; I've played it since the pre-order launch and in beta and I find it a fun class - great survivability and moderate DPS. I definitely don't die in PvE unless I pull too many mobs. Not sure why the hate for the Magden.

Since I've finished all of the Morrowind content (except for Halls of Fabircation and a few longer run achievements, named the motifs) and gotten the Magden to 50, I started my Stamden last night. We will have to see if the Stamden is really that much more powerful than the Magden.

Point is: Magden so far has been great - happy with the class.

If you play a lot of classes like I do, you realize they all feel weaker then before. Warden also feels lackluster if you played it. It feels like a class that does many things but doesn't have one strong point.

I think ZOS' approach to nerf all classes to make them balanced was not a good idea. Instead they should have buffed them all to the strongest class there was, that way no one has to feel weak.

    Power creep.

Hmm...I believe Warden was made weak along with all other classes for Nerfwind
Let me start from Deltia: aren't he has quit long before Morr only because he has tired from MMOs? God damn, how many times he would quit until actually do this? >< Nvm...

    Warden is weak, yes.
As DD - what Warden can do here good? AOE? Every class can do that that pretty well. But his Single-Target sucks. That's true.
Healer? Ok, Warden got Major Mending for free (there is always someone in the group falling below 50% HP), but he can't restore resourses to tank. Templar still a king as healer (even with Minor Mending only), not even try to argue. If you ever played a tank, than you would agree, that Necrotic Orb is not the same as Lumi Shards, even if they are same on paper now.
Tank? How about group shields, pull-chains and aoe-root? No, nothing? DK are king here still.
Group buffer? Ok, but this role is possible only in 24-men pug Cyro wbs and with current penetration numbers it's ... meh.
Warden can be good for casual solo-players, yes. But nothing other than that.

Count Warden as p2w? Lol, what? Not Warden, but new crafted and trial sets.

I has no leveled Warden to 50. But I have a brain and I don't need to actually eat sh*t to understand that this is not a food.

The Warden class desperately needs an execute outside of the bear ulti one. I mostly want to Pvp and don't want to use the bear ulti...would rather use Permafrost. I gotta confess I am still finalizing my Mag Warden so haven't hit Cyro yet with him, but I can see a problem knocking people out. We could also use better CC and a beefing up of damage generally. My guess is ZOS is aware of the class shortcomings but is awaiting more data before making changes. Time will tell!

Well, Morrowind screwed up every class.

Although, I was a bit disappointed after 2 rls told me something like "why the hell would we take a magwarden with 26k dps, when we can have 40k dps sorc? 40$ for a garbage class isn't the best deal I had in my life.

any nerd that takes this game too seriously is sad, this is a casual game. also, 40k dps, sounds like horsemanure. after morrowind. it's a lie. if by some small chance it isn't a lie or exaggeration, that type of nerd is the reason the game just became unfun for some of us. so screw them. don't pander to them. they're what's wrong with this game. don't buy/sell/speak to/play with them. min maxers and tryhards need to be segregated until either they leave the game or tone down on the crap that gets the game made more monotonous for the rest of us. I'd love putting on tos if we could train people in this game. until they quit or stopped getting the rest of us nerfed for no good reason. and if death penalty was meaningful enough in the game to be used as a deterrent.

I just love my Druid warden :) yep DPS might be weak a bit, but hey, mostly all other classes can faily DPS enough, so i don't mind not being on the top notch DPS meeter on all classes. Peace my friend, grow up some plants and have some mushrooms, things might be cool after :P

The test warden I'm leveling on pc is pretty terrible in my opinion. Obviously going to level one and use it on Xbox as it's going to be amazing for ball-group play—but honestly it seems pretty bad at everything else. This feels like P2L to me.

For PvP, warden has a few insanely OP skills combined with a lot of lackluster ones.

Stam warden burst potential is insane and mag warden isn't far behind plus has a lot of group support abilities. Tip: non-stop spamming cliffracers, which is what most wardens are doing, is not it. Even if that ability is OP in terms of having no counter except block.

People tend to judge a class only taking DPS in consideration. The Warden might not be the best DPS class, nor are DK's... however they have very good supporting skills. Best tanks are usually DK's, best healers are usually templars (notice i say 'usually' cause you can do totally fine with other classes too...).

So, maybe the warden is not the best killing machine, but has very nice supporting skills... As I see it, it's kind of a hybrid between a tank and a healer, that in adition can put some dps, so it's not 'significantly weak'. This could be opened to discussion since 'hybrid' in this game doesnt really work for end game stuff. You better stick to the classic 'pure dps', 'pure healing' or 'pure DD' if you want to take part on most group content.

Anyway, even if people would have been given the best DPS class with morrowind, they would still complain about whatever, people always find a reason for complaining, thats how forums work. Also Zenimax has been well known for not being the best listener to their community, so I dont think the Warden is the result of all complaints.

That said, i cant find any of the poll options working for me...

    Cheers.

DK DPS is rock solid though :3 Both Mag and Stam :3

So far from my own experience, the warden feels like a support class as opposed to a pure damage dealer.
Was running a dungeon, all of us DDs and I found myself healing, shielding and dealing decent damage when it mattered most. The survivability of the stamina warden I was using was very good.

My great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandmother with any stamina class is better than any mag.
MagSorcs have the highest DPS parses and in PvP the ability to spam ward, streak, CC, light attack ulti to regain magicka in prolonged fights would easily beat your long dead relative.
