Ignoring mighty and stacking into MaA

I'm a 2H stam sorc. So for the hell of it I said screw might and am stacking into master at arms, and the La/Ha booster, along with thurmaturge crit and penetratration cp passives. Gotta say I love it. Don't miss mighty at all. My toon feels like it hits like a truck. Does anyone have any tests about mighty vs master at arms on a toon that's mostly direct damage? Is it just my imagination?

With frontloading and these horrible jumppoints you will be better of spending some cp in Mighty. No reason zo put 20 points into MaA to get 1% more direct dmg if you can get 5% physical dmg with the same amount of cp elsewhere.

I guess I'm still a bit fuzzy on all this. Is all direct damage also affected by mighty? But not all things affected by mighty are affected by master at arms. Mighty affects dots but master at arms doesn't?

What counts as direct damage though? Tried out Selenes ok pvp for the first time last night and it procced about 3 times all night. Compared to velidreth which procs all the time. Which leads me to believe that that MoA will be less efficient than mighty (at least for my build). On console so still waiting for the cp changes

Anything that isn't a dot is direct damage.
    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

So what's best for increasing dots, mighty or thaumaturge?

Let's make an example with Poison Injection. It deals X poison damage and Y poison damage over time. It's all, poison dmg, direct dmg and dmg over time.

Mighty inceases physical, poison and disease damage, it affects X and Y.
Master at arms influences direct damage, therefore affecting X but not Y.
Taumathurg poweres DoT, therefore affecting Y but not X.

The more CP you spend, the lesser the return is. Once you reach the point where you have to spend more CP in taumathurg to gain 1% DoT than in Mighty to gain 1% poison dmg, it's better to spend points into the latter.

Mind that 10,99% and even 11,00 % are rounded down to 10% at the moment. Still hoping this is nothing but a bug but that's how jump points work right now.

A mix of both because of how steep the scaling is.

At what point is it not rounded down? Or rather, How do you find out which numbers get rounded down. Has anyone put out a chart for it or something?

To maximize the dps of a stamina direct damage attack, apply points into Master-at-Arms, Mighty, and Precise Strikes until the marginal change (the amount added by the next point) of MaA = that of Mighty = (that of Precise Strikes * your crit chance). You'll end up with far more points in MaA since it scales higher.

For magicka, switch to Ele Expert and Elfborn. For direct damage, use Thaum.

To maximize the damage of your crits (i.e. maximize your burst), omit your crit chance from the equation.

Keep in mind that CP stars round down to the nearest integer. Place excess points into penetration.
