Hey, you cleared VMA after last patch? How is it?
I HOPE DUAL BOMB STRATEGY STILL WORKS xd i used it to do it at cp 190
but now i am not more eso+ (pvp imbalances is the reason, nevermind that) so i cant acces it
so, how is vma after changes to game?
dual bomb still melting? tnx (edit: seems that spec is dead now, nvm)

Share your tips, your changes with your fellow ESO players, any advice you feel giving out now after patch?
Anything worth mentioning, a set swap? Another play style, more defensive?
What made it out for you after the patch that helped you clear VMA?

I knew that OP couldn't be older than 16

They build in gank mechanics so you have no chance to do it because you get ganked all the time if you are no op nightblade

And they changed the loot system, you'll only get weapons if you are a nb, other classes will get jewellery of winterborn in healthy

We changed the loot system to give only Nightblades Maelstrom Weapons because we feel that the strongest class needed some help. Other classes will always get healthy jewellery of winterborn to help all the new Wardens

Cleared monday after the patch and was a shock.
Yesterday i did a run again, and i did my first Flawless conqueror run! So its not so bad After all *.*

To answer your question:

Cleared it on my magplar yesterday (never been so close to no-Death)

470k score, used a lot of sigils. Need to do a lot of Heavy attacks (at least that is "more-skills" according to the new meta player base) in order to sustain.

Can now brag that I´ve been top 5 on the scoreboard in vMA (kappa) xD

Shock for the sustain... im a stamblade and the difference of the siphonig its really really high... I found myself to kill the majority of mob with heavy attacks, and i was soooooooo slowly, but with a goodbye concentration and following the mechanics i did it and i think with a little bit of habit i can do It more faster... So Just try It

and Heavy Attack everything ofc

No still running 2veli, 5 VO and 5 spriggan on stamnb. But maybe I'll change some glyphs

Agreed. The "burst" dmg is noticably higher but sustain is a pain in the ***. I play as a Breton so if I were to play as a Altmer it might be easier both with sustain and dmg.

I did a 571k run with dunmer mNB with julianus (my pants are infused and the rest div) I only had sustain issues (flower rng) at stage 7 but I managed to burst the boss to 50 percent before enrage phase.
Scathing works too but with that I have less magicka and slightly worse damage.
Also I run now with one magicka recovery glyph

Has anyone done VMA since the update, on magsorc or stamsorc ? I would be interested in the twists you made on char for vma, should I use pet (without necropotence) or come back to petless vma

Done it on magplar and haven't even changed my build. Completed it with 14/15 vitality bonus (f.u. stupid lizard).

I haven't noticed much of a difference in burst damage but lowered sustain is noticeable. Whole run took me 4 minutes more than usual, because I was forced to heavy attack weaving on some rounds.

Pet build with 2 pets and lightning staff heavy attack... Put 58 points in to penetration CP and equip (if you have) charged VMA lightning staff - you weapon swap only for surge and if somehow you run low on mana from back bar cast weakness to elements or whatever it is called. Super easy mode and you barely do anything...

MagDK same strategy, but without pets (obviously) 20k ticks is are a bad boi.

I won't change my gear and still run as full damage - sustain was already a problem for me even with CP and armor cost reductions + heavy attacks when needed, now it's much harder. Before patch, even though each run was stressful for me, I did at least 2 runs per day, sometimes more... I did only one run first day after patch, and yesterday I couldn't force myself to go there again

Today also not feeling like going there.

With master at arms you have now more burst potencial so if you can sustain its actually easier than before.

In terms of sustain: Stamina always relied on vo procs + HA at start of round to sustain. Magicka always relied on arcane well passive + HA at start of round to sustain. HA resource return was buffed so that actually compensates quite a bit for the sustain nerfs.

As for damage mitigation id also say it got easier. New iron clad cp star lowers risk of being bursted and the more frontloaded cp system also allows for a better overall mitigation.

All in all the only thing that is actually a bit harder is sustaining. This depends on your ability to hit heavy attacks at the start of the round though.

Thank you ! Do you use a specific known build or just something you made ? I'm using this build and I couldn't complete at all vMA this week ... :(my pet damage is so low that I got mad and actually I cancelled my ESO+ sub). Maybe I could find a better spec (I'm full yellow necro with spinner's, both 5/5).

Again thank you for any info on what spec should I go with my pet sorc ...

i did i twice on mNB, once with dunmer/julianos and once with breton/scathing.
got nearly flawless both times, at dunmer i was unlucky to get hit by a poison bomb and archers at the same time, and with breton i died to a wildfire perma dot on last boss

Survivability isnt the problem, i even think ironclad helps
Damage output is a bit less, i felt it most at some bosses i used to burst down (2nd and 8th round)
Merciless is worse than it was before, one more LA to activate means one proc less in every round, as i rarely do enough LAs to proc it twice before stages are over.

Sustain is ok too, siphoning and fully charged HA at the begining of each stage are enough, i bought frain poisons in case i needed them but it was fine without
The only boss where i had sustain issues was the 2nd boss, but i had sustain issues here before too, so nothing new.
But siphoning is strange, have to train to not overcast it. At 10s it restores 1k, at 19,5s it restores 3k and at 20s end it restores 4,3k

This past Sunday night, before the Morrowind patch, I got my sharpened inferno staff from the weekly rewards.

Along the way, I got four sharpened bows, a sharpened 2 hand sword, two sharpened lightning staves, a precise dagger/axe combo, two defending ice staves, three precise resto staves, a precise 2 hand maul, a decisive one hand sword and close to a hundred other random garbage trait weapons that I either deconstructed or are sitting in my bank waiting for a day when Zos buffs them.

I'm never running VMA again.

I did it yesterday on magsorc. I did not make any changes to the build (necro/moondancer) but I changed to the blue health+magicka regen drink (frothgar something). With some added heavy attack weaving sustain was not really a problem. vMA is very doable after the patch.
