I never really disliked any of the maps. Maybe Rift. Never cared for the feeling of autumn of that map. And there are way too many sabre tooth beasts. Also, i never saw much in Reapers March. Which was a nice contrast, because it offers the best stories in all of ESO.

Shadowfen or Reapers March imo.

That's how I feel about Grathwood! A friend of mine says "You can't get there from here."

OP, I don't know about ugly, but my least favourite is Grathwood. All the others have some sort of charm.

I think all the zones are well done. I find the AD zones to be too bland/same-ish though. Its all green, apart from Reapers March which is just plains and savannah. Auridon is all just too pink and fluffy.

My favourite zone is Rivenspire, especially now that I get the Dark Brotherhood soundtrack up there (Glenumbra does this as well?). The storyline of Rivenspire is also possibly the best one in game.

A close second favourite would be Eastmarch, love snowy landscapes.

Third would be Alik'r, It seems a vast and unforgiving landscape. I have actually bought costumes that I use when my character has reason to be there.

Not a big fan of Jungle/swamps so least favourite has to be Shadowfen, Grahtwood and Malabal Tor.

Pretty much anything in the EP except The Rift or Eastmarch. Gray rock + lava = ugh for me.

Whoever said Stonefalls never played Morrowind, huh? I had a shower of joy overcoming me, when I first saw the lava and the mountain.

My vote goes to Glenumbra or Stormhaven. Bad Story, dull landscape.

Dunmer are superior to every race, including the Aedra-loving Altmer and the N'wah "Pact races". All shall fall captive to the banner of House Telvanni.

Compared to the glorious Morrowind, every zone "looks super boring". What is the point in living if you are not surrounded by beautiful fungal growths??!

I must conclude by saying that the only good N'wah is a shackled one (especially scaleback)!

What's considered ugly here? The overall appearance or the design or the layout? Disregarding the trolls there still seem to be some who equate ugly with personal appeal. I like Auridon but I suppose someone who dislikes birthday cakes may disagree. I dislike Stros M'Kai because it makes me feel like I'm trudging through sand and Bleakrock because I feel like I'm trudging through snow but they both succeed at being the environment they are meant to be. And on that note I don't think any zones are ugly. They are what they are supposed to be. If everything looked the same with just a different color palette everyone would complain about it.
