Which map is the "ugliest" map

Stonefalls and Shadowfen are the ugliest.

Well at least Shadowfen is creative topographically. Stonefalls is not only ugly, it's uncreative. (Yes Glenumbra and Auridon are very also very stereotypical fantasy environment when it comes to landscape but at least they aren't ugly like stonefalls.)

Shadowfen . I hated every single moment I spent there to get Angler achievement . No kidding , every single spot you step on is covered with mud and dirt . Argonians man , *** argonians .

I don't know that I consider any zone "ugly" but Shadowfen is pretty bla.

Shadowfen. Unlike pretty much any other zone there is no place you go and just have to stop and think wow this game is beautiful. It is just too flat and brown.

Second is probably Stormhaven its overwhelming normalness but the city of Wayrest is quite the sight in itself.

Glenumbra is all grey and wet, although there is some very striking coastal cliffs and similar locales.

I like coldharbour, especially the water, but I like the strangeness of it.
I love fells run in rivenspire, I love the strangeness of Deshaan. The ruggedness of Stonefalls and Bal foyen. I like how Repear's march has all these different cultures mashed together.

Vvardenfell. I have no nostalgic ties to Morrowind so it is basically an extension of Stonefalls/Bal Foyen which were my least favorite before now.

Shadowfen - very un-enticing, difficult to navigate, lots of "run this way, then that, then that" quests that take loads of time, few material nodes, badly positioned shrines that normally leave you far, far, far away of where you need to be

Its interesting that so many do not like Cyrodiil. It is my favorite zone. I get some good Oblivion nostalgia riding around Cyrodiil. Away from the main fighting zones there is a lot to explore and its actually quite peaceful

Ugliest for me is probably coldharbour. Most annoying is AD zones in general. Only my main DC has made it all the way through silver and gold. The rest made it to various parts of AD before those awful zones burned me out of leveling. Thank the Divines for vet rank removal boosting them all to my mains level.

WTH is happening, I read people hating Stonefalls and Shadowfen, probably my favorite zones! The Ash Mountain is breath taking, and I love the Argonian architecture.

Alik'r Desert is mostly barren and reminds me too much of the surrounding area I live in -_-
I'd say if I had to choose it would be Alik'r Desert.
At least Coldharbour isn't so harsh on the eyes because there is no stinkin' sun blinding you!

I came to fight everyone slamming Argonians and Dunmer and mushrooms. Glenumbra the worst by far.

I dislike Glenumbra and Stormhaven. You have fields and trees. And more fields and trees. Cult members, bandits, more trees and hills. So boring!

the hate for Stonefalls is crazy omg. It's one of my favorites. I think Stormhaven is the ugliest because it's really bland imo

I don't hate it but was happy to be out of Grahtwood. Auridon was my favorite zone but that's probably my Altmer bias coming through.

Just saying that because OP described Coldharbour as being ugly while we know that's his/her preference. People may disagree and express that CH is beautiful, they start to argue on why this and that is ugly etc. yada yada.

Remember that not everyone could think openly like you and I do. Seen it too much lately it's driving me nuts.

I wouldn't say that any of the zones are ugly.. they are all awesome in their own way. I guess the one I like the least (but it's still awesome!) would be Craglorn... it's mostly bleak & a harsh landscape. Still other parts of it are epic.. like the town of Elinhir, the lakes, Dragonstar, etc...

It amazes me that some people chose Cyrodiil !?! That place is so vast & varied it has a little bit of everything plus a lot fo stuff that no other zone has. Cyrodiil would be my favourite zone, both for looks & gameplay, by far!
