As a stam DK main pve, I would like to sum up some of my nerfs the last half a year:


Reduce maelstrom flurry bonus wpn dmg from 3000 to 2000.

-Starting sleeper build non meta, atleast I wont get nerfed then right?

Reduce morag tong dmg bonus with poison attacks from 15% to 10%.
Remove crit chance on proc sets - rip poisoned serpent and all the others already underused sets in this game.
Nerf crits - core build for stamina in pve.
Reduce weapon dmg on dual wield
Reduce rearming trap dmg by 30%
Reduce standard of might dmg by 5% (because of a magicka DK buff to whip)

Reduce heavy attack dmg by 15% - hidden nerf to molten armaments.

So.................. I understand "balance" is needed in a competitive game. But either focus on being competitive with real end game focus, or give mmo players the progression feeling they deserve, which btw was the main reason champion points got implemented in the first place so max level characters still got the feeling of progression.

Is really stam DK this OP ?
Nightblades have crit dmg and crit chance passive
Templars have crit damage and weapon dmg passive
Sorcs have wpn dmg, reduce cost ults and max stamina passive
DK's have poison status effect passive and no other bonus to anything related to stamina dps, which means a stam dk's endless hail are the weakest endless hail of all classes. This goes with every skill besides the poison morph of arrow spray, which has 6% more dmg on-hit due to poison aoe.

Not saying I'm completely rip, but just from my side of view how it feels to get nerfed every single patch possible. I used to looking forward to patch notes and reading them carefully. Now lately, I just scroll down to balance, read them for 2 mins and close my browser.

    I think you'll find every player of every class and build feels this from time to time, it's the nature of MMO games.

    If you're locking yourself into one class/build in an MMO game you generally will have stronger times and weaker times.

    With ESO I feel far too many people get hung up on the DPS parses as if it actually stops them playing the game.
    Yes it's much harder and slower to use Stamina in trials but that doesn't make it impossible.
    Yes it's sometimes much harder to enjoy PvP when your build is weaker than others, but not every single fight ends the same way.

    My advise to everyone in MMO games is just get on and play the game doing what you enjoy and stop worrying where you class ranks.

    If you're doing world firsts and leaderboards then you should have one of every class/build any way because that's how those things work. Finding like minded players helps a lot as well.

    My stamdk is about CP 200 now, but I've barely only started assembling gear. Still, I have most of the passives and most of the active abilities used in one of the popular deltia rotations, and I can only do 8 or 9k at best, not that I can even sustain for more than a minute or two by myself.

    Meanwhile, I'm making a magplar alt and leveling it with a friend. I'm like level 31, have very few skillpoints because I've mostly been questing, random drops from questing and with 3-4 abilities I'm doing just as much dps.

    Granted I'm basically still a beginner, but I can't help but feel like either stamdk or just stamina users in general are seriously gimped at the moment.

    I held a no CP tourney a couple of weeks ago.

    Stam DK ended up tied for third place because of an infinite duel against a mag Templar.

    Yes, stam DKs are powerful.
    Even without CPs.

    If you think you are at a disadvantage against other classes (excluding maybe mag sorcs = winner of turney) then maybe you just haven't built one correctly.

    A good chuck of that isn't specific to stamDKs, but changes to broader aspects of the game and all stamina characters.

    I am confident that if ZOS (nerfs) brings mag sorcs in line with other classes, this game would have a resemblance of balance.

    This is exclusively pvp though, where things like utility and self heals / shielding play a huge part. Plenty of us are PvE focused, and we're saying that stam is noticeably weak there.

    Just another reason that PvE and PvP need to be balanced separately, but we all know that isn't happening....

    No, that's not the reason; did you see how the scaling of physical weapons expert changed in the CP system, up to +35%?

    40%(molten)+20%(elegant)+35%(PWE)-15%(nerf)=+80%+1634 sergeant's, it could be pretty painful in arenas.

    You forgot the Ancient removal of the DK execute that was Molten Armaments, did more damage to low health targets. Damn I'd love to have that back given we are going HA builds now.

    It's NOT the nature of MMO's. Its the nature of bad developers that duck tape a terrible vertical progression system onto the game that causes power creep, then, instead of nerfing that system and admitting they made a mistake, they nerf iconic class skills that have been there since launch.

    We don't have to have our characters feel less and less powerful but the controls have to go somewhere. If ZOS refuses to fully address the effects of the champion system and removing softcaps then expect even more nerfs to class power and enjoy-ability.

    I wonder how it would be if skills had 3 morphs instead of 2 and at least one of them scaling with stamina just like at least one morph scales with magicka by default (yea i know caltrops, vigor etc scales with stamina only but you get my point)
