I'm trying to figure out the best set ups for the Stam Warden.
If you are planning on using the pets, I'm looking into the Hunt Leader set + Shadowrend/Selene + something else. If anyone has this set and has tried it. How does it look?
Other ideas are welcome
Shadowrend might work well on a Stam Warden because it improves their defenses and magicka recovery to support their buff heavy nature. Selene not so much since Warden's are primarily ranged. Hunt Leader, from experience is not as great as it looks the sustain is poor and you sacrifice too much, it is not the stamina version of Necropotence it could or should be and needs serious buffs, Wardens already get better health and stamina return from their own passives. Try looking at some of the bow based pvp sets for ranged, if you want to go melee Hundings Rage always works or the new Infector set for increased aoe damage and cc to set up your shalks.
My idea is Wood Elf Bow / 1H&S
Front bar 5 marksman, back bar 5 Witchman (and 5 marksman) + 2 bloodspawn
Front bar: Dive, Bugs, Poison Arrow, Draining Shot, Bird of Prey - bear ulti
Back bar: shuffle, netch, lotus blossom, soothing spores, vigor - bear ulti
stamina/health/immov pots and the new jester stamina food

If you don't have sharp VMA 2H (I have VMA bow but no sharp 2H), then you can go like 1 Kena + 5 Black Rose/Fury/7th Legion + 5 Bone Pirates.
My 2H bar:
Rally/Soothing Spores (I still like Rally's tick, will try Soothing Spores more) + Stampede + Dizzying Swing + Executioner + Rearming Trap
My Bow bar: Bull Netch + Green Lotus/Bird of Prey/Shimmering Shield + Cutting Dive + Ice Fortress + Resolving Vigor
Normally I heavy attack -> Dive x2 (you can cancel ha with dive) then HA + swing + trap, when target is below 50%, LA + executioner + bear ult.
There's a delay between when you press the bear ult and when it actually hits, I think we can practice to land the bear ult right when we get the target from 50% to 25% with LA + executioner, I will have to test more.
I like Executioner, but if you remove it and move dive to front bar you will have a slot for poison injection on your bow bar.
Just ran around trying another Hybrid build on a Breton Warden: 2h sword and Destro; Pelinial, Black Rose, and 1 Molag Kena; It is interesting... will need some tweaks and adjustments as always. Regen is solid (even no CP) Damage is decent, survivability could be better (heals didn't crit reliably). Will try same build on other races.
Ran normal Fungal Grotto solo on 5H, 2M Stamina Warden and made it through no problem as expected.
Was wearing 2 Selene, 5 Yokeda, 5 Pirate Skeleton (2m+jewels) with Crown Drinks. Did not use any damage glyphs on jewelry, all Stam recovery as it came.
Had to use steady full rotations of resources by Netch, and Bird of Prey, Endless Hail, swapped to DW bar and Bloodthirst, Spin to Win, and Vigor, and using Cutting Dive in rotation instead of Spin once I was down to a solo Boss. Of course used Bear Ult whenever it came up which was often.
I didn't like the delay of Scorch in rotation, as it was way easier to spin to win for Direct Damage now on AOE fights. Several times while getting used to Warden I missed the backbar rotation for Resource Gen lol on the 3rd or 4th rotation. Stamina plummeted to zero before I reactedand I almost died as I had only slotted the stam heals lol.
Noticed the dungeon solo was slower than my old pimped out Stam Sorc :'(
I'll run again replacing the 5 heavy setup for all 7 medium with Spriggans or Hulking Draugr to see if Medium can survive easily. I'm sure it can and will kill faster.
Once I finish this , I think I'll setup a Stam Templar with the exact same gear sets to see what's more fun.
P.S. I did try heavy attacks in some of the fights, and it did improve Stamina sustain some of course, though I didnt like the slower gameplay using it. Felt like I was playing a Turn based game.
Selenes is very strong on Stam warden, the ability to control the proc and not have it occur from scorch or dive is GREAT. It allows you to take the controlled burst of the warden to the next level.
Either Selene or veli is gonna be bis for Stam warden BG setups
I'm going hunt leader, morkuldin and maw of the infernal.
With packleader werewolf.
YEAH!!!!
PvP wise;
A damage build to take out a larger amount of players:
Dual Wield / 2H
- 5 Heem-jas
- 5 Alchemist OR Spriggan OR Defiler
- 2 Selene OR Velidreth
Solo/ 1vX build:
1H+S / 2H
- 5 Viper
- 5 Marksman
- 2 Selene OR Velidreth
