Thinking about it,
considering some servers are online before others and that in general all platforms\zones are separated.
Why not have each Megarserver maintenance at a different time - like in middle of the night not in middle of the day.

People will tell you it's because of the client but I call BS on that.
WoW's Oceanic servers get different maintenance times and they use the NA client. Patch days are a different can of worms iirc, but not every maintenance is a patch or bug fix. Most of them are just server restarts.

ZOS did in fact split maintenance times for US/EU servers in the beginning. In fact, they even responded to customer criticism of the EU server down time post-initial release and moved it.
But I think when it was realised the game did not sell anywhere near forecast release figures (conjecture, but going on the negative feedback and reviews surrounding the release) combining the outages was a cost-cutting measure as it did not require US-based staff to be working in EU hours. Also, one has to consider the EU straddles many different time zones, so there'll always be some people unhappy with an EU mega-server outage window.
We know North American server are better, but we can't wait about 10 hours of maintenance -.-

Maintenance is ongoing for the @TESOnline EU megaservers while we investigate a technical issue. We apologize for the extended downtime.#ESO

You can't wait? Is your heart going to stop if you do?
You can wait, you just don't want to or feel you should have to.
Maintenance needs to be done. If it wasn't done and they left whatever is wrong on the live version, this thread would be about how buggy and horrible things were.
When your maintenances (EVERY of them) would lasts for ALL day long, then you would have a right to speak here. Go away, ZOSfersteiner.LadyLavina wrote: »Maintenance needs to be done.

Who could ever believe the incompetent team at Z0$ 'ran' ('Caused') a problem with a routine/procedural task?
Surely not me, with around 26 months experience dealing with them........
What does a technical problem have to do with incompetence?
And you also have no idea what the word "procedural" means. It does not mean what you think it does, so much is clear.

If someone from @Zos Reads this i cancelled my sub!
Here are the reasons:
1)Maintenance done in Prime time for Europe
2)Extended Maintenance all time with your support being in touch with us but only in the last moment
Sorry but i like your game but not going to support you if you continue like that
Edit:If i am not mistaken 2 hours passed and still not update on what is going on and servers are still offline!

It's not due to nerfs that I'm dropping ESO when Morrowind is released, it's due to the fact that ZOS can't even do weekly maintenance without serious issues. God knows how things will be when they try to land DLC (ahem, sorry, a 'chapter') and class wide nerfs all in one go.
I can only imagine the 486 DX 66 running the 'mega-server' will implode and cause a singularity which sucks in the entirety of the known universe.
Can I have your stuff ?
