Its datacentre maintenance, not patch maintenance & it appears they ran into some more issues with the EU datacentre than with the US datacentre

10 hours are for the weak. It should be at least 11-12 for a proper weekly maintenance.

Ah, reading this from a meeting so not directly affected, but not exactly what you might term 'surprised'.

It's not due to nerfs that I'm dropping ESO when Morrowind is released, it's due to the fact that ZOS can't even do weekly maintenance without serious issues. God knows how things will be when they try to land DLC (ahem, sorry, a 'chapter') and class wide nerfs all in one go.

I can only imagine the 486 DX 66 running the 'mega-server' will implode and cause a singularity which sucks in the entirety of the known universe.

Because they are "mega servers" so they have "mega maintenance".

I would really prefer to play on a "normal mmo server" like all the other MMO's have, with "normal maintenance".

You missed the boat, given to my business partner (a keen gamer). I told him to enjoy it wisely before aforementioned singularity occurs. He very wisely observed that time is not present at the core of a singularity so how could he enjoy it 'before'?

As I said in the another thread, that kind of ZOSfersteiners or ZOS-defenders would be happy even with 6-days maintenance and only 1 day to play: "OMG, the whole day to play! Love you ZOS, make me a child!"
    Pathetic.

"In sarcasm, ridicule or mockery is used harshly, often crudely and contemptuously, for destructive purposes. It may be used in an indirect manner, and have the form of irony, as in "What a fine musician you turned out to be!," "It's like you're a whole different person now...," and "Oh... Well then thanks for all the first aid over the years!" or it may be used in the form of a direct statement, "You couldn't play one piece correctly if you had two assistants." The distinctive quality of sarcasm is present in the spoken word and manifested chiefly by vocal inflection"

I'm not sure repeating on a near weekly basis "ESO is Dying" qualifies.

    Thinking about it,
considering some servers are online before others and that in general all platforms\zones are separated.

Why not have each Megarserver maintenance at a different time - like in middle of the night not in middle of the day.

What does a technical problem have to do with incompetence?
And you also have no idea what the word "procedural" means. It does not mean what you think it does, so much is clear.
